    Gooooood morning!!

So much for a weekend lie in - DD had other ideas  but never mind - coz I've made £2.70 on Quidco doing some no spend stuff!! :j So good start to the day!

Thank you all so very very much for your kind and supportive words - Sue, Ruby, Dex, Lovella, Welshsaver and fatbelly. It is so heartening and motivating! Fatbelly - re the card transfer thing - havent done it yet as need the actual Nat West card in my paw before they will do anything, and I dont have it as chopped it up - so am waiting for new one to be sent so can do xfer. Then will see if MBNA offer anything going back the other way!

Yesterday was a good day - yes we did spend but its all written down so I know where it went! I stuck to my little shopping list in Tesco (despite having DH with me - who kept trying to put extras in!!)

Got a nice day planned today - going to visit a friend who has just had a baby, then we are going to a lovely place about 20 mins drive away for a country walk. So a nice afternoon altogether as a family which doesnt cost anything!! Wooo hooo!!

Only thing is - really need to get present for friend with baby....it is her 4th though, so she really already has absolutely everything!! With my new money saving head on, I dont want to spend anything - but hold on, she's my friend!! So will prob just pick up a little Mothercare gift card, then they can get what they want.

I have joined the sealed pot challenge - and sealed my pot! Nothing in it yet, but its ready and waiting!

Have a good day everyone, enjoy the sunshine (well its sunny here!!)

    hahaha, this is brilliant!!

Went shopping with my mum this morning, as she is looking for an outfit for a wedding. So I paid £1.10 to park the car, & met her. We trundled around, she finally found a fabulous outfit, & bought it (£200!!!!!   she is not a DFW!!) and when she paid for it, the lady wrapped it, put it in the bag & put something else in with it. My eagle eye zoomed in - it was a NSS MOC for Comfort!! Then I spotted a whole box of them on the counter - "ooooh" I said, I use Comfort! "Help yourself!" said nice lady....so I did! £6 worth!

So I came back in profit of £4.90!! Fab morning!! :j :j

(Yes I am a die hard MOC user in Tescos!! )

Lovely afternoon out in the country, & came back to yummy beef casserole I had left in the slow cooker. So good day all round!

Oh and the NW CC came this morning, so we have done the balance transfers. MBNA card cleared, & balance now split between NW and Tescos. NW int free. Will reduce Tesco limit as balance comes down. :j

Sorry to sound thick here, but what is MOC?
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:

Money off coupon - and NSS is non store specific. I use them in Tescos to get money off my shopping as Tescos take them even if you havent bought the item. So I save usually around £10 on each shop with my coupons!

Lovely sunny day here today, going to do some gardening later, and a nice roast chicken for tea. So shouldnt spend anything today!!! :j

    Goooooood morning!!!

Its another sunny day - so yes I've got to go to work - but its not raining!!

Am v nervous about work today. Am officially "At Risk" of redundancy. Been there 15 years, & DO NOT want to leave!!! Have had all the interviews etc where I try to convince them how amazing I am, & how they cant possibly manage without me :p And today is possibly "find out day". So please all keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Had a lovely day yesterday, not a NSD unfortunately - but only small amount of shopping, as did meal plan for the week and needed a couple of bits. So all set till Friday now. Did some gardening, & DDs planted tomatoes, lettuce & peppers & some flowers from kits they had for Christmas - hope they grow!

Not got a lot in my purse to last till Friday (pay day). And going out for a meal with friends tomorrow - was arranged ages ago, so am still going, even though it doesnt really fit in now with being a DFW!!! But cant pull out without good reason, & dont want to, as these are good friends! And its all you can eat Chinese, so will eat lots and get value for money :p:p

So hopefully will stretch whats in my purse for the week. DH has just nicked a fiver "in case he wants a coffee or sausage roll once I've eaten my sandwiches". AAAAAGH doesnt he get this yet!!! Yes I know he is out on the road for 10 hours but I have done him a big packed lunch!! (he's a breakdown assistance patrol). Ah well will have to keep drumming the message home!!

    Have a lovely day y'alll!!

    i like your diary!

i know what you mean re OH's not getting it:rolleyes:. and i also know that you have to do these things gently with them......

with that in mind, if he wants sausage rolls and or a coffee, then a cheaper way would be to have some saus rolls in the freezer and take one out each nite for him and to give him a £5 for a week (or £1+ a day) to buy a cheap coffee ie. at greasy spoon or in mcdonalds, so he can save the vouchers off them for a free coffee (and pick up the vouchers that other folks have left too;)).

o/wise, a fiver a day adds up to more than £100 a month, and he already spends that on himself already, ahem!

re. NSS MOCs - i used to use these in asda all the time until they stopped taking them, including the printed ones...boo hoo.....we don't have a tescos that near us, so i just save what i have and then do a little shop there once every month or two. i thought you were very restrained to only take £6 lol!
  • Keeping everything firmly crossed for the tricky meetings today, Mog. Make sure you update us later! Good luck!! :A
