Been going on a while
I sent it to the Financial Ombudsman and then said yes do have a claim sent what I thought was a great letter, that was coming up to 2 months ago, spoke to FOS and they said they are chasing egg again and are hoping to write back to me within the next 2-3 weeks. It is definately worth not accepting the first or 2nd offer from the PPI's fraudsters!!!
Hi hun
Thanks for your update.
Fingers crossed for you and hope you receive a good outcome on this very soon.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Good Evening,
Now this thread had a major pause but I cam glad to say is now with an adjudicator!!!! Hallelujah!!!!!! Excellent here we go!!!
A question does anyone have any info on what constitutes an entire agreement not being set up correctly? anyone have a settlement figure where they got everything they had paid back or is this a myth? or if it is true doesnt the mis-selling of PPI contribute to the case of an agreement being set up incorrectly? I have heard that there are some serious settlement figures if this is the case?
Any help greatly appreciated - Hope you are all well?Lightbulb Moment - 12/03/2009

Hi there
Thanks for your update and that is great news, well done.:T
Hopefully someone will know these answers for you here and will post up.;)
I understand that what you have paid in ppi you should get back as your refund and any interest as well.
For example, one of mine was not far off £13K, if I remember correctly we paid in over £10K of PPI alone without the loan, that was when we paid off the loan, and we received back just under £13K this was with interest added on top as well, and about £250 distress payment, this was because it was resolved by the FOS, this was in 2007.
I'm sure someone will know the answers for you in regards of the agreements not being set up properly, good luck with this.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Wouldnt have thought the ppi being mis sold would constitute the agreement not being set up right. They are in some cases seperate amounts and payment amounts. You get all ppi you have paid to date back when you win mis sell ,if the loan is still running the remaining ppi is taken off the loan anyway,if the loan is settled you get all the ppi amount back with interest, so in that case you do get it all back to you.0 -
The case is with the FOS, Egg gave me a figure, but I contested it. The loan is settled, just seeing if there could be grounds for it not being set up correctly. This case has been going on now for over a year, it is with the adjudicator now at last!!
When I say it is with the FOS, it is all 3 separate times they mis sold to me!! each being treated as a separate case.Lightbulb Moment - 12/03/2009

Hi di,
hope you are well, yes a year!! I appeared to be getting no where I was calling them every couple of weeks, but I do now know it is with an adjudicator.
A year does seem a very long time doesnt it? Question I have been asking FOS is that if they have kept it for a year after Egg have supplied a settlement to me, who pays this additional interest? presumably egg as it should have been correct figure supplied to me when they offered me a settlement?Lightbulb Moment - 12/03/2009

Evening, I started this thread over 2 years ago - anyone thinking the PPI reclaim route is simple I wish you well. Like I say 2 years down the line after the FOS awarding the decision in my favour, it sitting with Egg, I have just had a letter through from Egg trying to fob me off with a settlement figure only £405.78 more than 2 Years ago. This figure btw also "includes £300 to compensate for any distress and inconvenience caused" - Im speechless - What a joke!
They have sent me a breakdown of calculation and im trying to understand the following 8% simple interest is per year not a total amount isnt it?
I am fuming I dont know where to start now... 2 Years and im still not sorted? Am I being unrealistic with the amount im entitled to for being mis sold 3 policies? Should I just walk away should I question everything that is in front of me? Anyone else had a similar situation?:mad:Lightbulb Moment - 12/03/2009

Hiya
Hope your well.
You could post the figures up here if you want to and someone can have a look. I am hopeless with calcs, but Marshallka and Robbedofmymoney are very good.
And take it from there. The one and only "Dizzy Di"
