    hi,
thank you thank you all so much for your replies :T
i showed hubby this post/thread and got him to read it ALL last night, who, until i logged on was still going on about it -not sure if he was teasing me by then or really serious....

you will all be relieved to hear that what i couldn't do - you have all helped him see sense :j . the information has been invaluable and now HE has to tell the kids - cause i've said my bits to them.
some of the striking bits that really threw him, but had me :rotfl: :rotfl: was the "'uh-hum actions' during breakfast", and the HIV bits and the amount of care needed which he clearly didn't think about (i think it's the knack of being a mum which gives us an instinct of how much care and attention a helpless one requires -wasn't in him!!)

    thanks guys/gals

    Tigers! Now there's a challenge!

I had a scottish wild cat as a "pet" - that was hard work and not insubstantial on paperwork and licensing - certainly wouldnt like to try any of the larger felines.

You mean Whiskas isn't full of meat  No! lol I bet they make interesting Pets, my Stepsisters Stepdad (Confused yet) keeps all sorts from Eagles & Owls to Snakes & I love seeing them all, difference is he's loaded & has avairies that make the Zoo's look tiny! They all seem really well cared for & he seems really knowledgeable, for the right Owner they must be great!

As to the link, it's a shame more animals kept badly can't teach the Owners a lesson! That guy has no sympathy from me! Just the fact Monkeys are so like us would be enough to put me off, I mean you could go out to do the shopping & come back to find it's nabbed the spare keys & gone out!
