Mmm Galaxy for me... & I think I'll add Coca Cola (3 for £3) in Tesco for my coke guzzling household!

    Hiya
    thanks for that

    but............

we don't eat chocolate (well I dont and we use the value stuff for cooking but will see how Galaxy compares)

and we dont drink coke - no fizzy drinks allowed in the house at all (DS had a problem with his teeth when he was younger and we can't have shop bought fizzy in the house or concentrated fruit juices he has soft (?) teeth) but thanks for the thought - I sound so strict (I AM).

We occasionally get diet decaffinated coke maybe once a year as a treat or something - child services have often been informed by my pals who think I am too strict but tbh they don't miss it. (well I think they don't anyway:rotfl:)

I do sometimes relent now and we can have fizzy water with some cordial - but it has to be decent cordial - I AM THE JUICE POLICE been told several times!!

  • Hey all this is the week that was - I am heading off on Friday - whoop whoop will see some family friends and some nice ex college pals and go and see some lovely trees.

Still honing the list - done a meal plan - (almost sorted) for the whole of April so I can manage my budget and try to stick to using cash.

Loo roll consumption still being monitored - ferretted around and found all the random bits of cleaning fluids etc so I can make a proper list and soap and stuff etc so we need less of those things than I thought we did :)

Cleared a space in the garage and looked at our larder (we have one) in the kitchen and thought - OK this needs to be resorted and work properly.

You are doing the right thing. Carbonated drinks, especially cola, is very acidic and very sugary. The combination is very bad for teeth and also leaches calcium from bones when drunk regularly, as the body fights to maintain the pH balance of the blood.

Phew - thanks for that - I always considered myself to be a bit of a dictator when I comes to this subject - but you've made me feel better!

Mostly its good old H2O in our house - the essential moneysaving drink.
