Hi everyone,an early report from me today.

    1) Got loooaaads of toothpaste and brushes from Boots. They are selling lots for 24p - 70p, so I stocked up. (Supposedly nationwide).
    2) Got a couple of No7 things with the resulting £5 off vouchers.
    3) Got an invite to do a Boots survey on-line, but it won't let me. Technical problems.:(
    4) I've been trying to enter some Cokezone points but my codes are indecipherable.
    5) Had to buy T some new shoes, and picked up a lovely pair of Kangaroos for £10 from TK Maxx
    6) Went to work!
    7) Storecupboard meals.
    8) Scratch x 10p

Tonight I'm going to try and research a scheme a friend told me about where you let people use your garden. Anyone heard of this? I have a massive garden, but just don't have the time / skills to tend to it all. I figure that if I let someone use a portion of it to grow their own, we'd all benefit. If anyone knows where to point me I'd appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    L x

We were discussing our hypothetical £4000 thread commune last year - very frugal it was too, everyone was going to have a job to do lots of livestock and lots of places for all hobbies/craft stuff to be done too, and best of all we would only have had to pay one lot of council tax between us:D

Thanks for the offer fay xx

Please can I apply to be in the commune with sophiesmum and Fay. I can't do much useful yet but I'll learn!
    Getting there...slowly! :D

    GC : must do better
    NSD: very rare

No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.

YB it would be awesome - I am not that good at much except flowers and a bit of random cooking - so we'd be in great company and SM be great at organising us :D

On a more serious note I hope your report got kinda sorted

SM - question - Costco - what good things can you get there and is it worth a trip for certain bulk things???

I will be mainland civilisation bound in the early bit of April and OH has a card.

    Any thoughts?

Hurrah got a desk on freecycle for the new office person when he comes to stay at the end of March. Now just need to wrestle the monster spiders in the attic to look for the spare kettle.......:)

I buy meat in costco but you buy yours locally so probably better for you to do that - air miles etc
Bacon is a good buy in 5lb packs, big tubs of herbs, seasonings, etc good value, 24 packs branston beans work out same price as smartprice, decent tomatoes similar, some baking stuff- icing sugar, cherries, choc chips very cheap, bin bags, toilet rolls, tins of tuna, tea/coffee,sugar.:D
