Right Beanie, that Sky offer is very good, you have to pay the £30 installation but get £50 in M+S vouchers so thats good. The £16.50 a month is ok you get the entertainment packagae but no sports or movies (I could be wrong) but best of all you get the Sky+ recording box which is quite simply the best there is. Sky is one thing we havent ditched during battle with the debt, we watch the tv too much and is money well spent in my eyes and once you have Sky+ you will never look back and you will not be able to imagine your viewing life without it.

hello my lovelies carpy run tonight, think I need to eat more calories before i run. In fact I never run great at night before Ive eaten my main meal as this is when I get most of the calories for the day. So future long runs I must have a good meal beforehand. Still did 4 miles

    :)

Sally i always have a problem with eating and then running...thats why i like to run in the morning.....

At the risk of sounding like a boring fart....when i went on my running weekend they told us to eat a couple of jaffa cakes before going on a long run...:T

I'm debating whether to get Sky. I've got Virgin at the moment for tv, phone and internet, and Sky seems cheaper but I'd have to pay BT £125 to connect a a BT phoneline.

Or I might go for the cheaper option of Freeview, but then what do I do about phoneline/internet?

    It's all so complicated.
hey Mrs S, Sky+ is better, you have to pay £30 installation but get £50 M+S vouchers. if you phone BT you will be able to neogotiate a cheaper reconnection fee. There is a thead on here about it. Just phone them and ask. They will at the very least spread threconeection cost over 6 onths interest free for you. Worth thinking about. I will put the link up for that thread.

Thanks Lenny - they did say they would spread the cost, but they said they wouldn't reduce it. Maybe I could be a bit more persuasive lol!

Sammy - I just tried the Tiscali website and I have to ring them because my phone number isn't a BT one. So will put that on my list of things to do, because it does look cheaper. :)

Sammy, is your Nike thing on your iPod? How does that work?

I'm due to get a bonus at the end of this month, it's not enough to do anything significant with, I'm not in debt apart from the car (which will be paid off in August) and the budget is tight but ticking along, so I am thinking about buying an iPod as a treat. :D

Its ipod touch and its the best thing ever! Its wireless so you can email, internet, instant message and facebook from it. You can obviously play music on it and watch bbc downloads...I always copy and convert films to watch on it and also download tv programmes on to it (I watch them in bed).

Also built in is the nike+ - all you have to do is buy the sensor that you tie onto your trainer shoe laces. It tells you how far you have run and how fast...

I love it - oh you can also keep contact details, write notes, calendar, tasks....etc bit pricey but worth it....

Definitely read that thread and see what the posters have said themselves to get it
