How good are your OH's at food shopping?

  • OH is great at shopping as long as your not too bothered about watching your budget, getting what was on your list - in fact were normally lucky if we end up with much food at all if its left to him - he gets a bit carried away at the CDs, books etc and forgets about the list in his hand. Easier to go myself and leave him at home with the kids

OH understands our OS budget, understands what we buy, will go food shopping ... but not without me. He sees his role as being pusher of the trolley (along with a range of moans about the drivability), selecter of the apples and bananas .... and general reminder service for things ..'do we need?'. Will happily go to a range of shops to get the best bargains and loves the farmers market and farm shop (again carrying the bags). He will not however, shop on his own.

My role is to tell him how much we have saved, explain how we are going to use a particular ingredient and to design the shopping list each week.

DD2 and I are going away for a week and he is already insisting that as we are going away on a Saturday that I have to take him shopping one night in the week!

Have you noticed that when OH is driving the trolley he is always half an aisle in front and you end up not being able to have a good look at things 'cause you are chasing after him :rotfl:
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
