Hi,
We are going to Thailand on our honeymoon in April, and we've currently got Economy seats on Eva Air.
Does anyone have any tips for trying for a seat upgrade?!
Thanks in advance...

Has been covered more times than most things on here and solution is Pay up or have a 10,000-1 chance"Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain."

I've flown to Thailand with EVA and they're a great Airline. Little chance of you getting an upgrade, as their Premium Economy is usually packed due to it being the cheapest 'Premium' service from London to Bangkok.0 -
The only sensible advice is that you should not expect any upgrade! That said, if you fancy chancing your arm then smarten up a bit, smile and ask politely. Don't expect any luck though, but if you don't ask...
I've been upgraded in the past, with BA. To be honest, you don't get much. Most people in Club/Business aren't picking up the tab, the firm is. Otherwise they travel along with the rest of us.
Even though it's your honeymoon, the cost of upgrading isn't worth it. Who wants to start married life with that bill? Just go along and chance your arm, put a sum aside for some bubbly etc from the pay bar trolley, as a more likely alternative.
Best wishes for your wedding, etc.0 -
We paid to upgrade our hotel room (and cruise ship room) and it was certainly worth it for the extras you got (free room service in the hotel + fridge daily stocked with free soft drinks)
The flight? Forget it, the chances of upgrades are slim0 -
free upgrading at the check in desk unless the economy cabin is full is pretty non existent, if you have any spare cash some airlines do upgrade on board space available at a lower price, you never know. good luck with the wedding.0
