The delivery boy was trying to scam? When the box lable clearly said cash? It was obviously just a mix up.

As for big pizza stores delivering then taking payment, both Dominoes and Pizza Hut. ;)

Have you ordered from Dominoes? The one here has a very specific setout, a pen couldnt change it.

Many thanks for the replies. I think I will call the chain and make sure it was the manager I spoke to.

Freddie_Snowbits - I'm not sure if you're trying to be sarcastic or not. This was the first time I had a drink since before Christmas. We do normally go to restaurants, but I always drive.

brightonman123 - I thought it was strange how he just thrust the phone into my hands. Unfortunately, I didn't look to see if there was a name on the phone or just a number. The fact we called the takeaway directly after the pizzaman left and there was no answer, not even from a manager who I'm sure would be cashing tills, etc, just after closing.

so2006 - It was Domino's - although I'm not sure what that adds. Is there a history of these things happening with Domino's?

Right here is what to do, Go to the dominos site http://www.dominos.co.uk/about/concerns.aspx Search for the store, See the email address and email. When i had a issue, Which wont tell here just incase someone does it to get a free pizza, i went to this page http://www.dominos.co.uk/about/contactdetails.aspx filled it in, and got a nice letter with a lovley free pizza voucher! That alowed me to get one of "any" size and "any" type. Always works to go to the dominos!

Believe it or not dominos have great customer services!!!!!

Many thanks for all your replies. I hadn't contact Domino's yet, I had a busy day yesterday.

so2006 - Great links. I've just sent Domino's a long email explaining what happened. I'll let you know what they come back with.

Busy day yesterday but you'll regret not calling it if someones just cloned your card. To be honest if I thought someone else might have my card details I would be able to find ten minutes out of my day to call them and make sure everything is ok.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

That thought never even entered into my head. I just thought they were after the cash as well as the card payment.

I am a serial online-banker-checker (a HSBC "super heavy" user) and nothing suspicious has occured yesterday or today thankfully.

If you deal with it asap then there's less room for doubt/pizza place to say, sorry but bit late to check facts blah blah.

I agree with Sharon87, I'd go in there personally cos what if guy who delivered it answered the phone? Definitely a scam. And if it's showing on your online bank account as clearing then you have proof you were correct so maybe take it in? good luck.
:D Thank you to all who contribute to all of this super site:smileyhea !
