I have 4 children and have always bought their shoes from Clarks but in the past 2 weeks they have wrongly fitted shoes for 2 of my children, 1 of them ended up with blisters. So I definitely won't be going to Clarks anymore, there is another shop in town that sells Clarkes, Start Rite etc so I will give there a try I think.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0

It's a place called Blunts in Willenhall... It doesn't have a website but appears on Thompson local if you google it...Hi, where about is this? From Dudley so it's not too far, but never heard of any outlet near!!
ThanksA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

This has only ever happened to me once in Clarks (my DD has special needs and can't talk so it is difficult to guage from her whether the shoes are a good fit). We went back the following weekend to check the fit of the shoes we bought, and although the size was right Clarks decided the style was not suitable for her, and replaced the shoes free of charge. I would therefore recommend that you take your kids back with the offending shoes and see what they do for you.0 -
when my two sons were little they had clarkes shoes too, as i believe they fitted better than any other brands, they are 13 now, and will only wear trainers, and at an adult size 15  they are costing me a fortune, any body know of any where cheap for bigger sized mens shoes please??
my partners brother buys his shoes from a shop called big for men in margate maybe ring the shop up and ask who their stockist are and ring them also skate companies tend to do larger trainers my partners brother is a 14 and he tends to get his trainers from these places.
their website is http://www.bigformen.com/ but its best to ring because that isn't the whole selection.

£20 I wish ,.......DS is on his 3rd pair of school shoes since September. He has wide feet which limits where I can go and his current shoes are size 5 and he was only 9 last week.:eek:0

Startrite, R&Bromley, Jones or Ecco are the brands we buy for the children. Not a Clarks fan personally, helped by the fact that their shoes don't fit either of my children since they start at an E width fitting and both my girls have slim, D width feet. Do however find it a complete pain buying school shoes for both of them!0

Clarks have started making one style in a D width now.
If your local store is not a stockist they will be able to order them in for you - if there is stock at the warehouse.
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
I have 4 children aged 21, 16, 14 and 6 - they have all worn Clarks, I tried cheaper ones very occasionally and each time they fell apart within weeks. My children must have slow growing feet because I buy their school shoes in august and they last right through until July, even the eldest wore clarks through 6th form. We polish them a couple of times a weeks and they always look good even when they are getting old and tatty! Cheaper shoes are simply not that much cheaper these days and just don't last as long.I stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0

I've bought from Wynsors, they've got stores in the North and pretty much cheap shoes, boots, sandals and wellies for all ages. Found some really cool boys spiderman trainers which he loves. You can buy online off their site - Very impressed with the prices and would be surprised if you could find shoes any cheaper. Quality seems good too.0

Funny that, I emailed them about the lack of D widths last week, they said they had no plans to make any as they made losses on them before.
My dd is a D width at 3 years old, very slim and narrow feet and getting shoes for her is a nightmare!
I wished they would make D widths and at least more E width styles. We get bored of the same styles all the time, and they are never that nice!0
