It does take hours. T'other W/E there were glitches on & it took me the whole w/e to list 91 items & I was up until 3 am on Saturday/Sunday, but what else can I do & I do it because I use the money on the animals - couldn't afford them without it plus I am going through stuff I've had stored for over a decade.0

There were glitches on ebay site - plenty of comments in the forum. I thought it was our connection but I think there were so many people trying to upload it just about crashed, plus they are now carrying too many banner ads......so people were saying.
Some of the photos aren't showing properly on folks listings still.0 -

Rhiwie, love the green art deco clock.... If i wernt trying to be super frugal at the mo, i would have a bid or two on that. You have some nice collectables on there at mo....hopefully some of them should bring in a few pennies.
January is flying by.....I have a tender that has tgo be put in on the 25th January, we have the work at the mo, BUT it a different playing field now so to speak, so we are going to propose 2 different offers/proce structures, which will need alot of thought and costing out for one of them....
I flipping hate doing tenders:mad: I much prefer to have a meeting and thrash prices and conditions out over a table, so then you can allways have a compramise but with a written tender that is it, what you write down...
Alot of our competitors have full time staff purely for sourcing and writting tenders etc....
Weather is alot milder this morning, but the computer says that is going to change:rotfl:Work to live= not live to work0 -
Grim, grim, grim weather. Everything is coated with fine, slippery water. And i mean everything, the inside of the feedroom, the walls of the loo, and the cistern, the ground.......yuck, yuck, yuck. Its very grim and grey, i only let the chooks out twenty mins ago. That did have the benefit of me beating the feral cats to an egg.
The horses want to wtand in the barn, despite it being mild. I gave them some new grass, and they still chose the barn. Horrid day. The kind of day to curl up with a good book or an old film, because there is sure as hell nothing else one can do.0 -
CTC, some fun stuff on atm, and bids coming in nicely, beginning to think the last auction wasnt a disaster after all. Sympathise with the tendering process, loads of work with no guarantee of winning.
Lir, we had that weather all yesterday, so miserable and dank. Its a bit better today this side of the channel. But will leave garden well alone for time being, building up a supply of wood ash from the woodburner for spring dressing is all for now. But another 3 weeks and I'll start sowing the toms.
Just done the first trawl thru a modern(ish) postcard collection, first item, an 1897 London/Berlin rail ticket listed last night. And a collection of old GWR luggage labels with Welsh and South west station names looks like it'll sell.0 -
I had them up for 7 days - finished on ....when...? I listed them on the free weekend. Feedback starting to come in.
Alfie I forgot how to look at your stuff - 'membered your name but can't find your listings. Hope there's a free 'un this W/E as loads to list - that's about my lot at the mo.
Very stormy throughthe night & a spattering of snow -really chilly. OH away down the Gairloch, but I declined standing in a field holding the end of a tape & looking round a derelict house for a client.
Away to stagger up to the sheep.0 -
