CTC - Could you post me a link.
I know where you are coming from, but it's a dodgy game & especially the way the market is at the mo.
remember you have fees on top - commission & catalogue photos to pay the Auction house, plus VAT on the commission which is 20% ( The VAT on the commission).
Fruit trees - such as apples & pears are good from LIDLs when they get them in but some varieties are more suited to certaim areas.
The wind is scaring me here, it's coming in fierce & bringing snow....this wasn't forecast.
The prcie i had in mind if i did put an offer in plus 3k on top for legal and auction fees.
I have pm'd you the link, I was thinking of offering 15k ( if i do go through with it) tops, so then in theory if it got accepted etc and it went to auction it would owe me 18k IYSWIMWork to live= not live to work0 -

Not sure what I am looking for but I will know it ..or them..when I see them. It's for hall lighting.....I wanted to replicate this http://furnish.co.uk/items/185081-bird-cage-lamp as both a table lamp and three over heads but Dh has decided after a few years of me wanting it, he would prefer something more traditional. So bird cages might be a compromise. But not sure, would have to have cane slatted bottoms too, for light. I might just make the modern table lamp and get different overhead fittings.
CTC I feel your pain. House hunting can be a very frustrating process - I mean when you are actually looking to buy rather than doing the house hunting "!!!!!!" type looking where you're just looking but not serious (I hope no one takes that comment the wrong way)I'd worry about trying to make a profit in this market. I agree with Dave, about the only way the market can go - I'm assuming he means down, and we've recently bought at auction, but we're intending to hold for the long term. I've bought and sold 7 properties since 1999 and I think I'd only be in profit on 5 of them (2 I've sold, the rest I'm holding onto), although I'm being pretty conservative on their values because you don't know something's value 'til you find someone with the money to buy it!

. I have even flicked the switch and examined the birdies...not here but in Milan. I love it. I agree with choille that it could be hitchcock esque en masse but...that sort of appeals. I have also been looking at tree wall paper. Another MSE friend found a very expensive twig chandelier which could probably be copied effectively .....so could have one bird lamp with twig chandeliers.

It'd better not be stormy in the morning. I put off my run today cos it was a bit rainy...
Actually, it's not graham and Greene, they only sell it here, and so does the conran shop i think. It's a French lighting company I thnk But yes, I'm looking to copy, not buy. :DIf I were as artistic as Alfie it would be MUCH easier though....:rotfl:0
