There is the finest icing sugar dusting of snow up on the big hill. Beautiful. And two warm eggs in the milking parlour for me.0

Lovely at first light, but a huge hailstorm now, and Exmoor is dusted with snow. I can't see Dartmoor, but it was white on the highest tops yesterday.
Sorry, I've been AWOL, retrieving DD2 from uni and other rather dull jobs, though I suppose driving the A35 is never completely dull. We saw a couple of zebra in a field a few miles east of Honiton, for example.
Uh-oh, we've disappeared into a cloud. It'll never lay, but I'm glad I've done the rounds and pulled the trapped sheep out of the orchard fence.
It's a day for thanking the god of Amazon, I think! :rotfl:0 -
Nothing this side so far, not even rain or hail. Sunny with a cold wind.
We seem to have been chosen for the Friday morning pheasant convention. 7 !!!! birds & 8 hens all sat weighing up the competition within a few yards of each other. Most strange.

They c0ck up, or rather cop-out, in other ways.
When I ran a thread on one of them in the summer about our unhappy experience with a breeder, I didn't even mention the name.
Of course, people living in this area, and elsewhere, PM'd me to find out who it was.
Eventually, I sent the breeder a link to the thread, which was pulled completely within about 12 hours. I even got a rather stern PM from Aunty Betty, or whoever runs the site.
At least this site has balls. Can I say that?

Pretty frozen here, but no new snow just white as meranges on the tops.
Dave what sort of fence do you have - you seem to have constant troubles.
My young cross-breds occasionally do lose horn buds pulling their heads back out after stretching for that greener grass on the other side.
Water just trickling through the tap this morning - but it's that time of seaon I suppose.
