lol. NO. I can't. I was made furious by the happy sounding trailer and that there was no caveat n the problems with this...it was like an advert for micro pets0 -
Thanks for those other suggestions. We have a whitebeam growing on now, but that's destined for the other side of the garden.
I do fancy a copper beech, but like the wych elm, I fear it might get too large. On the other hand, I won't live long enough to make it worthwhile planting it at a great distance! :rotfl:Maybe a fastigiate form?
Oh, I've just remembered there are some great oak trees as well..... and the gingko, which would actually go well with 'next-door-field-lady's' poplars.
And speaking of poplars, I want one of those down at the other end; you know the white one with the trembly leaves. Great at a distance, but not in your drains! :eek:0 -
It sounds like I should be glad that I seldom watch live TV other than news.

Good. I agree That's decided, then!
Re; micro pets, I thought the pig people had gone bust?
Pete's Kune kunes have just farrowed- about 12 - 14 piglets apiece. I joke that I've never seen so many potential sausages in one place, because I understand that's all they're good for.
They started out as a couple of pets for his DW...... :rotfl:0 -

don't is kune kunes. They re a good pig for people who like grass/run other animals....they graze rather than snuffley plough. IF we were to get a pair of pigs it woul have to be kunes (but I secretly want alfie's mabel!)0 -
TREES TREES TREES ! i am surrounded by acres of trees ! they [the estate] hav just got a 5yr plan grant to clear/sort/tidy them and im a tad worried that they may be a bit "gung ho" and take too many out ,hope they leave some dead fallers for the woodland critters...:(... i will probably have a woodshed full after the bacon sandwich handouts tho0
