If I :rotfl:could sew decently I'd have a whole load of costumes though....
but its all so expensive....as an approximation of an old side saddle the south american ones are the best I've seen pictures ofhttp://www.peruviantack.com/saddles.html (see second from the bottom of the saddles). with the old style bucket seat (''modern'' european side saddles have a flat seat and really old side saddles you literally were lead while sitting sideways with your feet at the same height on a plank. Bridles are easier.
Getting period agreed is also hard though...Baroque or medieval....or costumes for both:o:o.I have a couple of friends who do various types.
Anyway, if you're a knight you have to eventually go on a horse and I can't stand horsesFreedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
but I've no idea about video at all.
........i actually feel better that its not just me now:rotfl:

when i dig up a valuable roman hoard i will let you all know....by postcard from the bahamas !!:rotfl:
my georgie is now home, apparently she purred non stop before and after op:) i let her out of basket when i got her home and she just strolled off.... she looks a bit like an extra from "pirates of the carribean" but hey ho....:D
i have 3 dove/pidgeon [they are white and not sure what they are or if there is a difference!!??]who have stayed here, they sit on my roof then go back to bed.
im going to have another attempt at the u tube thing later...:o

Phew I have just read the three pages you have all written today! Sorry to hear about Georgies eye. Very impressed at the shield, I am sure the local primary kids would love to have a look at it!
I got a wee bit overwhelmed about the garden yesterday and was sitting on the couch with seed packets all over the table couch and floor muttering away to myself when my OH came in. He, being the voice of reason, pointed out that we would not starve if everything wasn't planted and that the garden was meant to be relaxing for me. That brought me to my senses and I pottered about for a while, between rainshowers, and got my beans in and a whole load of salad planted.
Also admitted defeat and put some of my seeds away for next year. TBH if the things we have planted so far come up then we will be well fed over the summer at least.
The rest of the afternoon was used to hack away at the neighbours tree and giant bush that are currently keeping loads of light out of our garden. I find it really frustrating that there is nothing we can do about it. They are lovely and I have asked about it but they are keen to keep them so there is nothing we can do. However I removed loads of it
.
I was hoping that I could get out and do some work this evening but it has been raining againTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Henry VIII and his famous armoured codpiece gets 'em every time0 -

Temporary but presentable and CHEAP fencing ideas anyone? I've been avoiding looking at this hedge all day, but now I can't avoid it. Tose roll out brush screens even if attached onto good posts couldn't last a few years could they?0
