Hugs to you Emily, congrats/ hugs to mumof5- we've been really crap today but have spent some quality time together. So tomorrow will be a big push with the cleaning as we are having a friend of n1son over on Monday night and then the outlaws for dinner on Wednesday.

Will try and catch up with the thread but am way behind so to anyone who needs a hug you will have it as I read your post but will not keep on coming back to add to this one.

  • Hi, not been here all week as started antenatal classes again so was busy planning - but it was thursday night and the couples were all lovely so needn't have been so nervous :rotfl: and also have been planning our trip to disney paris - we go on friday and told the girls last night :j :j :j

Hope you are feeling better emily i always find things like that on comic relief more shocking and upsetting as whilst we know it exists it feels like you can do less about it than the health and food issues in africa - does that make sense? Hope you are ok xx

Congrats on the lovely surprise mumof5

well i need to do a bit of spruce over the weekend and then get back on track - i'm not liking my messy kitchen at all!!

off to get a start on it now, see you later

my make a change a week is going to be to report in every day!

I agree with Pigpen Mo5......forget the donor......i did.

I made the decision to go it alone, knowing he would never stick around anyway.....my mum was dead set against it at the start, she also had big ideals. But once tinytot was here it was a different story. She wasnt impressed at being a gran at 41 but she was pleased as punch really.

Dusty - I totally sympathise......they think they can stroll in and out as they please. I reminded BF not too long ago that this isnt a hotel (we dont live together) - he cant just come and go when he feels like it and expect hot water and clean towels when he gets here. I stopped screaming though cos it made no difference with him. We split up recently as we were spending almost no time together, he was so busy with work - but he was able to go out with his mates every Friday.

I just stopped talking to him, stopped answering the phone when it rang, didnt cook for him, didnt wash his stuff (if there was anything here), I cleared all his toiletries out of my bathroom, yes MY bathroom and told him if he didnt want to have consideration for other people he could go....... I started making plans for myself and not including him, disappeared down to my friends for a glass of wine when he thought i would normally be home, accidentally leaving my mobile at home, (dunno how i managed that  .....:D ) needless to say, he became slightly nervous and guess what -we made up. Last friday he was at mine. To emphasise my point, I made plans this weekend and told him i was busy........ My plan is to catch up on my list in peace and quiet but he doesnt know that! ;)

Im probably being quite mean, but hopefully not for long.

Im off to look at organised mum again.....think im sold on getting one!!

Phil - dont worry about catching up on all the thread.....concentrate on you and mrs phil. do a little bit of flying where you can. We will go over everything again at some point, so you will no dount catch up again in the future! hugs to you both xx

Emily - I find Comic Relief really distressing and cant watch - I do my bit; our office raised almost £700 yesterday - but i cant watch. There are other things i cant deal with on tv - and like you, I understand why the information is being made public, but when its something which effects you directly, its really hard. Take strength in the fact you have a lovely supportive husband who is there for you and that we are all here for you too xx

Mozzy - am going to switch the iron on.......... kick me later, make sure ive done it!!

Hugs to everyone else too!! xx

Emily - hugs for you, the cynic in me suspects it is because the guilt reaction opens peoples wallets. Can't watch things about people suffering without getting upset so I just dont watch them anymore.

Mummyof5 - I can appreciate you being stunned! Poor girl must have had a lot to cope with on her own.

MOF77 - I meant to say hugs for you and your DS.

Kazwookie - I wouldn't appreciate that at 6am either even if I liked the visitors in question!

Dusty - hugs for you. I hope everything is sorted this morning.

Bennie is adorable (says she who doesn't actually like dogs). We are going with the crate route - as suggested by someone the other day? - not a peep out of him last night and he kept it clean and dry from 10pm till 6am which is great. The cats are sulking though, and the chickens are a little bored of being herded.

DS2 is much better - a bit pale and floppy but hasn't been sick again.

and jobs for today - I need to re-do yesterdays jobs, and clean the littles bedroom when DH gets up. Really, really need to hoover everywhere. Looks like its going to not be raining so hopefully get some weeding done later.
