can online banking be safe ?

Online banking is safe, only if you use the right service. I suggest stay away from unknown banks that you have never seen or heard of with unusual benefits. They are most likely to be not what you anticipated.0

Most of it is just down to common sense, make sure you have anti virus and a firewall installed and updated adn only go to the right banking website and not via a link in an email0

which bank are you with?0

I am 21. I have used online banking since I got my first bank account with natwest aged 11. So that's 10 years. I have used several banks services and never been 'hacked' or had my money stolen.
Keep your antivirus software up to date and make sure you scan your computer regularly (should already be in your routine anyway!!)Kavanne

Here is the question to ask yourself.
Have you ever heard about the hundreds of millions of people around the globe who DON'T get hacked every single day?0 -
and most people don't get "hacked" but are stupid enough to supply all the details to the scammers by clicking through Phishing links to fake sitesEx forum ambassador

I would say though, ultimately, if you have an irrational fear of getting hacked/the internet/anything else, there's nothing anyone can say to persuade you otherwise. The question you need to ask is... Are you going to take the plunge?!Kavanne
