Frontline & Frontline Combo confusion

I always thought that Frontline treated just fleas, not ticks too & anyone could buy it online etc with no prescription, but that Combo was available from Vets only (Or maybe on prescription) & did fleas & ticks. I got the Dog some Frontline online & the Cat I got some from the Vets, but both look the same & say they do ticks & fleas.
So is there no such thing as Combo now? Are they all the same? The pack from the Vet doesn't say Combo on it anywhere, just that it does ticks & fleas, but the Dogs is the same & that's from online? Were they different strengths or something to be one available online & one not? Sorry i'm all confused! I'm not gonna buy it from the Vets if they're the same as it's about £10 more!

Ahhh thanks! Maybe I had to ask the Vet for Combo then, I just asked for Frontline! I'll remember that next time, tys!0 -
I could be wrong but I thought combo, protected against ear mites... Could be wrong though, ages since I bought any. Always thought it worked better compared to just frontline though.0

You can get Frontline Plus (which is the same as Frontline Combo) from a website in Australia at a significant reduction in price - WITHOUT a prescription. The shipping charges are surprisingly low, and I've usually received my order within a week, I think.
The site is http://www.pets-megastore.com.au/
Edit: I just checked the "Plus" pack - it takes care of fleas, ticks and lice, and it breaks the lifecycle of the flea by killing all stages, on and off the dog.0 -

Thanks, when she's used the box i'll buy from there then! The Dog needs a new box for 1st April (Do them on the 1st of each month) so i'll have a look for the prices to buy hers off there, ty!0 -
I just checked the prices for Plus. I don't know which "dog" size you get, or how many pipettes you normally buy, but looking at what I usually get, it's the 10-20kg dog size (the lads are chunkier than they look!), and I get 6 pipettes - at the moment, that's £25.93 plus £2.96 shipping.
If I recall correctly, that's pretty close to what my vet was charging for 3 pipettes of Combo.
Funnily enough, I Frontline them on the first of the month too - I now have this mental image of massed bands of dog-owners group-Frontlining on the same day!0 -

You would be breaking the law to bring in a prescription only drug from abroad. To sell a drug in the UK, it has to be UK licensed and follow UK law and you are not allowed to import anything without a licence from the VMD (Veterinary Medicines Directorate) which costs £30 and wouldn't be granted anyway for this. There are foreign websites selling fake drugs and just this week it has been reported that fake antibiotics have been found on a farm in Northern Ireland. Buy British.
Wow I didn't realise that, thanks, I think maybe i'll buy Combo when she goes in for her Spay/Tumour Op then unless the Cats dental leaves me any change on Wednesday! Thanks for letting me know that x0
