You should never be ashamed for moaning on here. I learnt that in my short time on MSE. There is always help and support available and most importantly, a non judgemental shoulder to lean on!

2 weeks ago everything was so different. Things have improved beyond any of my expectations. I am so lucky to have found this website and this community :o

Too right! I'm a newbie but have accepted the £2 CSC challenge, have cleared out the cupboards and made £160 by selling on eBAY and am now scouring the attic for more to sell. Knowing others are in the same boat and that we all support eachother gives me a nice warm and fuzzy feeling inside!

Hi Moozie I do hope that you are still keeping on with beating the Big Bad Debt. You can do it! All the Money Savers out there are on your side, and all the people with debts who have finally admitted that their finances are in a mess can learn to be winners too! I'm an ex debt collector (boo), and I know that the first step is the hardest, but once you work out a plan you are on the road to success. Talk to the credit controllers, we are not all big bad mean people, we just want to get it sorted!

Also, don't go out shopping, go out saving. Buying three packs of toilet rolls on BOGOF is investment shopping, (pay for three, get three free). And, you too can go shopping with a calculator, I do! Sometimes one BOGOF of one brand is more expensive than buy-one-get-one-half-price of another brand! Take your time, search out the offers.

    You can do it!

Well done moozie!!!!! You've inspired me to take a long look at our finances too and when the OH comes home from work, I'll sit him down and make him listen too. You are soooo right - it's the first step thats the hardest. Keep up the good work girl and congrats on winning the post of the month - you certainly deserve it. Keep up the excellent work!!!!

    Good morning all :)

I could not log on early enough this morning! I am just so thrilled to be able to say that I have now paid off £497.65 off my debt and reduced the number of debtors by 3 :j :j :j

My grocery challenge and spending money challenge with the OH for this week is going great. We are putting a whole load of stuff on ebay tonight and we are working together like never before. :D

I am just so happy and motivated at the moment! I never imagined this moment would come a couple of weeks ago. Remembering now how I felt then, it was awful. I never again want to be in that position of burying my head in the sand and ignoring all my financial problems. It hurt to face up to the facts and figures but it is worth it as I feel 100 times better.

Thank you again for all your help and support. I really don't know what I would have done if you all hadn't taken the time to give me a hand.

I know this is only the beginning but I am most definitely going all the way :D
