This is probably a stupid question, but here goes....
How do I tell if it is fairtrade? Do they have a stamp or the like on them?
Told you it was a stupid question didn't I!!!mrs tooti-frooti0 -

Anyway, made my hubby a cup without telling him and he commented on what a good brew! Hubby likes a good strong cuppa in a pint pot and as he enjoys the new cheap and fairtrade tea we won't be going back to Tetleys.
Now coffee ...... I've tried a few cheaper coffees and have always gone back to kenco instant, anyone got a cheaper alternative for this??

They will have this logo somewhere on the packaging (though probably not as big as this one!)
The Sainsburys Basics Tea Bags (80 bags for 28p!) amazingly has this label on the packaging. Tried some today and it's very nice. Absolute billy bargain.Call me Carmine....

I'm a bit fussy about tea & coffee myself - Tesco own branf 'Gold Blend' is rather good, as is Lidl own-brand premium decaffeinated.0 -
I drink Earl Grey tea, and usually buy M and s teabags, one day i had ran out and we were in Lidl when o/h found some, 59p for 25 tea bags, well you can imagine the look on my face lol, , but they are the BEST i have ever brought, they have a lovely taste and you dont need to squeeze the life out of them.
We've been Earl Grey tea drinkers for a while now and I've noticed quite a difference in different brands. Twinings are good, as are Morrison's own label.
I won't be touching M&S or Asda's Earl Grey again, as the teabags seemed to be soaked in something, as they were a horrible green colour and smelt really strong. To my mind, the bergamot had been applied to the bag rather than the tea - yeuch!0 -
Tesco own brand tea bags are manufactured by typhoo...Alongside tesco own brand are "Packers Best" teabags, one of the cheaper brands Tesco introduced recently. The packaging they come to store in..and the boxes apart from images are identical. The tea tastes as good as other well know brands and is around a pound cheaper than Tesco own.0

The problem with teabags is that the bag is white. How do they make it white? It is BLEACHED. This in turn will affect taste.
Does anyone know if you can get teabags made with unbleached paper? Thanks.....0 -

Does anyone know if the company who produce Yorkshire tea make tea for any of the supermarkets?
Unfortunately tea bags are one of a very few things that have to be branded for me. Yorkshire tea; Heinz beans; Schweppes tonic.
