hi all,
As i've just run out of PG pyramid tea bags i thought about getting something cheaper this time. It's nearly £2 for 80 at the supermarkets.
I shop at Sainsburys normally and noticed they have basics at 28p, other sorts including organic ones, all cheaper than the PG ones. Can anyone recommend a good alternative? Or somewhere with the pyramid ones on offer?
Many thanks

have you tried loose tea? Much better taste and cheaper? You just need a little strainer thingy0

Do you have a Home Bargains or Quality Save Store near you? I've seen PG tips there on a regular basis £3 for 240tea bags, last time they had an offer of 160 bags with a free beanie hat priced at £1.49.0

The Sainsburys basics ones are really good and Fair Trade.
You can't really ask for more for 28p for 80!0 -
I use the Lidl ones that are around 30p and they are fine. Put it this way, my brand snob husband hasnt noticed and we've been using them for over a year lol.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

One of my favourite teabags are the Asda Smartprice ones. The taste better than PG Tips, Tetleys etc and they're really inexpensive at about 30p per box:j30/7/10:j

Agree completely. The tea is extra delicious with a thick slice of cake or a biscuit.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
