I had the Daily Mail last year for a little while but only to save the tokens for the energy owl

Last week and this week we're buying The Sun for the free Alton Towers tickets.
Next decent offer I see we'll switch again

Goodness knows but my parents believe everything it says.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
The Daily Mail is a great source,
of energy.0 -
I read the Mail at my parents house when I visit....mum has started to hide it away from me now as I get so annoyed with some of the views!:D
Yes, I agree with that view! It really irritates me when a particular friend of mine quotes from it as gospel, and as if he thought it up first! Irritating on the count of it's from the Daily Mail, and also because I probably read it there as well.
One thing that amuses me, though, is the way the people comment on some of the articles online. The readers often tell off the journalists for their inane comments.

Slightly off-topic here, but is anyone else old enough to remember that magnum opus by John Cooper-Clarke: "you never see a nipple in the Daily Express?"0

The Mail is a crap newspaper, as newspapers go. But I do like the way that it enrages and obsesses the liberals. For a journal that they purport to view as a bit of a joke, they do take it rather seriously and love to chide those who read it, or even more ridiculously use the term "Daily Mail reader" as an intended insult to those who do not share their view of the world. This is no doubt because, in its exaggerated and sensationalist way, it does represent and give air to a lot of populist views that the liberals would rather were swept under the carpet. This is on subjects like : crime and punishment, immigration, Europe, political correctness, the nanny state, the surveillance society, and Brown's client state. If the Daily Mail did not exist, the liberals would have to invent it as their bete noir !No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions. He had money as well.
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

LOL
I though the Sun went Blairite -- has it reverted ? And surely not the Times, that bastion of impartiality ? The Telegraph is worth a read for Simon Heffer alone -- why he even makes me look like a bleeding-heart liberal by comparison !No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions. He had money as well.

True, the Mail is pretty poor, but equally matched on the other side by the idoicies of The Guardian and The Independent.
Just because a newspaper appeals to your political instincts, doesn't mean that it is carried down the mountain every morning by Moses.
As for the condescending Brigstockeian sneering about 'Daily Mail readers', it's hard to see the tofu-munching classes as much of an alternative.
And, let's be fair, all you democracy fans: there many more of them.0
