Hello lucy*locket and welcome to the Daily :j. You'll find lots of encouragement on here for all kinds of things. Sounds like you had a really busy week last week and no doubt there will be a tense week ahead so make sure you do things that are easy for yourself - like meals from freezer etc. I work in a college and know that the weeks before inspection can get a bit manic with making sure paperwork is all up-to-date. By this time next week, it will all be over and you can relax.

    Hi everyone :hello:

A belated happy birthday to redruby :bdaycake:

DH and I spent the morning cleaning the house. Well, not the whole morning, but it felt like it! DH is particularly good at cleaning the bathroom, so I let him do that.

No significant OSing going on here. The ironing pile is shrinking slowly, another load of washing is ready to go into the WM. I need to start supper soon. We're having chilli con carne from a Rosemary Conley magazine recipe. Not our favourite recipe (that's a Jamie Oliver one!) but this one is cheaper and nearly as tasty.

Nothing else happening in my life, other than the Tigers winning the rugby yesterday :j :j and my mum starting chemo last Thursday.....

    Take care all.

    Evening all,

Been a good day achievement wise...2 lots of washing done, dinner over and packing done for to-morrow...so feeling very virtuous and entitled to a little while on here!

Not a nice day here, very windy and cold, we even had a snow shower in the early afternoon, clothes had to go on airers and landing but drying is excellent inside as we have heat on it being so cold...looking forward to some heat from to-morrow.

Did everybody on MSE have roast chicken to-day...we had 6 for dinner and there is enough for DD and DGS for 2 days so good value I think, did roast veggies and baked potatoes and we had micro choc sponge with ice-cream for pudding...enjoyed by all.

Chrisca....glad to hear that DGD is now home, she will be fine in a few days I am sure.

tru...I would have murdered him...the rule here has always been that we are informed if plans change after they go out..had a few hiccups but they soon learnt that I meant what I said, only common politeness to let the people you live with know if you won't be home.

Little apprehensive about OH and the flight to-morrow....we have flown since he had the stroke but that was only 45 minutes to Edinburgh, this is 2 and a half hours...probably just panic on my behalf am sure all will be fine, just need to make sure that I have all his meds.

Hugs to all in need or want, may not be back on now until 17th, as we return late on 16th, good luck to everybody until then, unlikely to get on but will be thinking of you all
