    Morning :hello:

Master tru went out on friday night, said he was coming home that night. Saturday morning, he's not in his bed, that's OK, he's done that before but he usually rings about lunchtime to say he slept at J's house. But yesterday we heard nothing and his phone was off, woke up this morning and he still hadn't come home. The phone rang about 30 mins ago, he said on his way home to pick up some kit for a job today. He's been and gone now. I grabbed his face when he walked in and said "DON'T...YOU...EVER...DO...THAT...AGAIN". Miss tru knew how worried I was, she saw him last night but didn't let me know or get him to ring me  I had all sorts running through my head, like images of him stabbed and lying at the bottom of the canal. It was bloody horrible.

I've had a stress headache for almost 24 hours, it started to fade as soon as he rang  I got nothing done yesterday so double shift for me today :D The WM is on so I've made a start. Might go out to the greenhouses and potter about with compost later, that always relaxes me.

    Morning all!

A lot of people seem stressed with various things so ((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) to anybody who needs one.

Went to see 'La Clique' last night at the London Hippodrome, it was soooooo good!

Plans for today - line-learning for the show that is now in 10 days:eek:, got a recall audition for a show at the Kingston Rose this afternoon - very nervous because I'd really like to get it - then this evening I'm off to the pub for a few games of Scrabble (I'm a big nerd ) If my line-learning goes well I'll get some baking done. Must try to get some OS in somewhere!!

    Take care everyone xxx

  • Good morning everyone. I just caught up on yesterday's thread. DH was off work so we piddled around the flat for a bit then headed out. We took Bree pup to the park for a long game of fetch. She loved it but was shattered by the time we got home.

While we were out, we picked up a few bits we needed and I tried a local butcher. All their pork is locally sourced so I like that we're supporting the local economy. I got a large pork joint, a small beef joint, liver and chicken liver for what I thought was a very reasonable price. We had our roast dinner last night as DH will be working 7 days straight from today. My goodness what a difference in quality over the supermarket! It was delicious!

We did get rather wet while out as the slight drizzle turned into steady rain. So it was home with the fire on and hot coffee. We watched some telly and the Man U game last night. Just a very relaxed evening.

OS yesterday, just a quick tidy and the washing up after dinner. I did make Fairy Elephant's lemon drizzle cake while the roast was in. It was a big hit. I had to use bottled lemon juice as I thought I had a lemon and didn't. :( That recipe will be on the rotating list of desserts. So simple and absolutely lovely.

Happy belated birthdays to all celebrating yesterday. I hope your day was a good one. :)

Welcome to all those who are new. It's always nice to meet new friends.

Good thoughts and prayers for those who are poorly, down, worried etc. Actually make that for all. Although I've not met anyone from here, I do feel like you are all very dear friends.

Off now to try to get inspired to do some cooking or baking. Or maybe just to play on the puter for a while. ;)

    (((((((((((((((Gentle hugs))))))))))))))) to all.

    Peyton xx

Morning all.....................:grouphug:if you need one..... :grouphug:

Lovely morning but it looks cold. Much better night last night, woke at 8.30am. OH just appeared is in the bathroom......visit to the allotment on the cards this morning, want to at least dig thre hole of the tayberry, even if I decide not to move it. We also have to put the supports up for it. We have 3 compost bins up there, one we emptied in the autumn, I am still using the compost from it. the third one is the one I am currently feeding. Last week we filled it up, it will be interesting to see how far it has rotted down in the week.

TRU my son did that to me once, he never did it again, I was behind the door with the rolling pin (only joking although I was cross enough) when he came in. It was in the days before mobile phones but he could have rung to let us know where he was, wasn't interested in what he was doing:D :D

Offsy for my second :coffee: and to get showered and dressed to go to the allotmenr, back later...................

    Morning,

A quiet day yesterday reading the papers, sewing & chatting it was lovely! The usual ironing, shoe polishing, book finding etc today as its Sunday  2nd load just finished in the WM so I'll decide whether to peg out or not when I've looked at the forecast. Only DS3 & I up at the moment, DH has taken the dog to a Sunday football match so it's nice & peaceful.

Roast chicken for lunch, sandwiches & soup for tea. (((((((((((hugs))))))))) to all & I'll catch up later.

Morning all! Bright and sunny here in Essex today - has spring sprung?! :D

Just had my first cup of tea - got to get active in a moment as there are things to do! Yesterdays washing will go outside, and I'll probably get MrEH's rugby kit in from yesterday and Thursdays training. I prefer to do that in one hit as it minimises the number of washes with mud on that go through the poorly washer. Savoury muffins to make - we'll have those at lunchtime with some cheese, crisps and chutney (We're working our way through my friend's green tomato at the moment and very tasty it is too!) and I have one of the lamb breasts out of the freezer ready to stuff and cook slowly for tonight. Yum. Stuffing will be finely chopped onion, breadcrumbs, garlic, apricot and rosemary I think. Oh - that's another job - my little rosemary needs re-potting. MrEH will be hoovering....I hope!

We're going to go out this afternoon and visit the RSPB reserve at Rainham - they've had some nice species there recently and if we see them they'll be new for us so that will be nice. I might even take my camera as the weather is bright....I need practise with the new camera & 300mm lens ready for our holiday. Anyway it will be a nice walk even if the camera stays in the bag!

Right - off for a shower and hairwash. Have a lovely day all! :D

    Morning all,

Happy Belated birthday to the birthday girls yesterday. Sounds like you had a lovely day.

We have a category 5 cyclone called Hamish  zooming down the coast now. DGS & DS1 is where it's suppose to cross atm. These things are unpredictable but we'll be in for some wild weather in the next few days. Oh joy. This has been a dreadful summer. Not that I"m one to complain. :D

DD left this afternoon. DH has been helping me in the kitchen make soup & some pies. He's unearthed about 40 kg sweet potato from the garden. I'm about to commit murder. I give him so many lectures about NOT planting so much. Does he listen. NO. :D

Hope you have a lazy Sunday. <hugs> to those not well. Byeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning all

Tru - I would have battered the b*gger with a rolling pin!

Celyn - I agree, I would be buying a vase from a charity shop too and making damm sure she knew she wouldn't be leaving with one of my treasured possessions.

Last night was very quiet out, looks like everyone is saving their pennies for Cheltenham Gold Cup so I was home and in bed by midnight. Never mind, the sun is shining again today and I only have the school uniforms to iron. I have a couple of films recorded that I plan on watching this evening but I plan on having a nice lazy Sunday.
  • Morning all!!

    Lovely sunny day here!!

Things didn't exactly go to plan yesterday! About half an hr before due to go swimming, I encountered lady problems! :o Trust me to have such bad timing! So swimming had to be cancelled, promised kids we will go next weekend. Ended up having a duvet day on the sofa, browsing around on here, as well as getting out some popcorn and watching Harry Potter with the kids. Forgotten how good it is and it has got me all excited for the next one coming out this summer.

Off out today with OH, as we need to get him a new suit for the upcoming family weddings. I feel like I am gonna come all over Gok Wan today, and sit in the shop ordering him in and out of the changing room trying everything on till it's right! Think I may treat us to a Starbucks after as I think it's gonna be long afternoon! May pop into Lakeland for a browse, but mustn't buy anything as I am trying to save money! Also need to pop into the theatre and register for those free theatre tickets, as well as pop to pick up a book from a lady on freecycle.

Brunch in a bit will be a fully fry up! yum!

Dinner later - roast chicken with all the trimmings, followed by Trifle!

    Enjoy your Sundays peeps!
