  • Spent £20 on petrol. £10 on Dance lessons, £5 on medicine for the kids and £68 on the elec bill.

Total - £104  I hate days like this.

Trying to be really god kids are poorly and sorley tempted to just get a takeaway but have been good and made dinner. OH is worry about money not sure why although we are not saving as much as we wanted we are able to pay everything and are making dents in our debts.

Hoping for a NSD tomorrow but we shall see.

You have to pay your bills, ort they get more expensive, not less.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • OKay think Sat was a NSD. Sunday was not. £6 on a gift for a christining of a dear friends baby. I know it's not alot but the present was lovely. We took £30 cash out to spend at the party but drinks were being bought for us and we only had to buy one round and as it was a bowling club it was very cheap.

£24 (remainder of £30 cash) went on some food shopping.

As for today £20 petrol £44 for more food shopping (but that should be us for the week)

I am actually in the process of doing a budget to take us up till the 31st January as we have a very large bill to pay in Feb and no money saved towards it. Going to sit down with OH tonight and show him it and hopefully we can stick to it.

So tuesday has to be an NSD as there is hardly any money till Friday. Wed milk man needs paying. Thursday should be a NSD too.

Have put my heating on too for an hour to take the chill of the house but kids are in tshirts and shorts and say their not cold. Yet I am freezing.

  • So far its a NSD. Spoke with OH last ngiht re our budget till the end of Jan. His eyes light up at how much we could potentially save so he is all for it. I have only given us £50 a week for shopping so need to head over to the old style board for some inspirations.

Today I am sorting through our paper work.

  • Have managed a few NSD and yesterday we went food shopping and managed to stick to our £50 budget actually we have £3 spare from it.

Got our gas and elec bill in we were paying them a fortune each month by DD but I checked a few months back and we had paid all our arrears so are just paying them every month when the bill comes in this month our bill is actually 110 less than what our DD payments would be. Very happy with this.

You're doing really well. Hope the plan goes well for saving for your big bill. Will you get a refund from the gas and elec?

  • Thanks Verbatim. No refund from the Gas/Elec as we had some arrears but as soon as that was us clear I was not paying them the huge ammount they wanted by DD and trying to get them to reduce it was going nowhere. I am keeping a note of my readings each week to make sure we don't end up with big bills today.

Today is a NSD :j. Have put the heating on for an hour as was getting really cold. Checked our 3 month budget and sofar only £20 down due to me forgetting about 1 bill and cash to be paid for a collegues birthday present. But still on track for our big bill and hopefully having some left over.

Dinner is in the oven, I am really hungry today for some reason.

  • Not been on here for ages have been very busy. We sold our house and have now moved. Money from sale is in the bank so now got to get F&F out to our creditors. I know that we will be debt free by the end of January and it is a great feeling :j

Also means that if we make F&F settlement figures we should be able to have a nice lump sum in the bank and then perhaps we may be able to buy another house this time next year. We will also be saving on the £830 a month we were paying our creditors and the plan is that this sum will go straight into a savings account as we have managed to live while paying this for the last 10 months.

2010 is going to be a great stress free year.

    Well done.
2010 will be my year for a DMP.
Might do a blog like yours, my debt is nearly £80,000.
Hopefully though I can manage about £1000 a month
so hopefully all cc's will probably accept this.

    Regards
