Well we got a letter from M&S yesterday stating we had broken our agreement with them and they are taking further action. NO idea what this is about but OH will need to call them tomorrow. Hopefully it is an error, as far as I can tell CCCS paid them as normal at the end of march.

Not got very far in getting a template letter together for our creditors going to have a try at the moment.

Just hoping they dont all start pilling on interest again.

Not sure whether this has happened to you but i am with CCCS i have 3 debts with LLoyds ,a loan ,credit card & overdraft i still have internet banking with Lloyds i noticed even though CCCS had taken my money my LLoyds loan & overdraft had not been paid for march but my CC had .I quickly rang CCCS and they said there had been a problem at there end and many peoples accounts where going to be paid late for march they had been in touch with my creditors saying there payment may be alittle late for march .I must say in all the time ive been with CCCS they have never paid my debts late.Luckily Lloyds were ok but i was alittle annoyed that CCCS didnt let me aware that there was a problem .
  • Susieanne thats exactly what happened. OH called M&S and they told him this. I too am a bit annoyed with CCCS fair enough they have a lot of customers but it would have been very easy for them to add something to their website. I had logged in to check my statement to see if there was any issues and there was none but obviously there was. Thankfully M&S were fine with it and understood it was not us not paying.

Still after April this cant happen again as we will be in control.

Oh and I have done my template letter.

I to feel quite annoyed with CCCS for not letting me know also i cant see any reason why they paid some of my creditors late .CCCS take my DD out of my account on the 10th of the month then my creditors get there money at the end of the month (no idea why it takes so long from coming out of my account to getting to my creditors ) I do believe they did get in touch with my creditors thats why my creditors where so understanding to me when i rang but they never let me know therefore making me feel like im not in control of my own money .
I have thought of going it alone & i have actually posted on here about going it alone now i have come to the decision that i will .
LONGFORTHESUN- Did you phone CCCS to inform them that you were leaving them ? Did you tell them you where going to go it alone ? How was CCCS with you about this ?
  • No I emailed CCCS first of all but they replied saying they could not discuss leaving them via email. So I called. They were fine with us leaving and said that if at anytime in the future we needed advise to phone them quoting our old ref number not sure why this couldn't be said via email. They sent out a list of our creditors and balances but no sort code and account numbers for payments to be made so I shall need to contact all of them myself.

They will pay our creditors in April then from May we will take over making the payments.

  • Got my statement from CL FInanace they did not receive last months payment either. Tried to call them to but they are closed today. HOpefully they did receive it just late like M&S.

Just cant beleive CCCS have failed to notify us of this problem.

  • Spoke with CL Finance they have received the payment only later due to the problems at CCCS, CL Finance system has automatically added a late charge but they will get this refunded as it was not our fault.

Letters are all done now informing our creditors we are going it alone. Budget done for May too. Just got to set up all the SO to make the payments at the end of May.

Got to send 1st credit two letter for OH debts. Have checked his credit file and 1st credit have defaulted him even though the original creditors have defaulted him one is an MBNA debt the other a Citi so thats 4 defaults for 2 debts.

The money could take a while to come out of your account as CCCS maybe earning interest on it. Doesn't necessarily bother me as they have been great and are a charity and I guess it takes time to "tie up" paperwork and they want to ensure that they are not paying a creditor without having your funds in place.

I had a similar problem with late payments from CCCS but again, didn't necessarily worry me as they had informed my creditors before I knew about it so my creditors were aware that it wasn't me.

I've been with CCCS since January last year and so far, so pretty good generally. Have been thinking about going it alone for a while but don't want hassle from the creditors as my phone has been quiet for over 6 months from them and have 2 letters in that time too - just think the hassle will start if I go it alone but still considering.

  • I ham hoping that as we are increasing our payments to them that they wont start hassling us infact I think for some of our creditors we will be back to paying our original amounts.

Though if they do start contacting us again I think both OH and I have learnt enough in the past year not to get stressed out by them or their threats but lets hope we dont hear from them.

Yeah, know what you mean, I know how to deal with creditors now and just tell them to politely b*g off!

I guess CCCS are just a bit of a "comfort blanket" for me at the moment. Don't feel quite ready to take the plunge just yet and dmp going well so I am worried about antagonising the creditors.

  • Been a while since i updated this. Well apart from one creditor all have agreed to our new DMP with increased payments. So far interest has been frozen on all. A few have started talkin about F&F but we are some way off that but house is now on the market so we will see what happens. Barclaycard are the only creditors who we have not heard from but I think all is well and we are making our first payment to them next week for the higher ammount.

M&S were very good they called OH and wanted to make sure we were comfortable with the increased ammount. OH said yes and they said well if you are stuggling let them know and we can renegotiate the ammount.

Fingers crossed all will be fine but good to know if things get bad again the option is there.

Have started a spreadsheet to keep track of everything.

Have an empty house today, OH working Kids away for the day so going to work on Junes budget how exciting is my life :rotfl:
