Fabulous news on the weight loss Helnag! In 3 weeks as well, must give me some tips! Oh, I know, I will just stop eating as much - just had my sarnies for lunch and feel like haven't eaten anything!0

That's how I've felt the last couple of days so guessing I'll probably put half of it back on again by next week. Just had cheese sandwich for lunch and would love another!!!
Jaffa cake anyone??

I know what you mean Helnag, I was disappointed when I had no bills in the post today, just want to get to next pay-day and get these dreaded debts paid off!
Well done on the bath and hair treatment - ah a little bit of heaven (I never have time for baths, only showers)!
Have a nice night, need to go and tidy house for OH coming down x0 -
Yeah, it was a lovely treat.

Hello all you lovely people....if there's any one there lol
Had my poor mum over today bless her, her and my dad seperated just before xmas 2007 and she was with somebody else but he was diagnosed with cancer early on in 2008. He's still poorly but she was saying today that although she thinks a lot of him if he wasn't ill it would have fizzled out and she still cares a lot for my Dad but feels torn.
She says she just needs a but of space but can't get any because there are so many people to please and that she just wants time to think. The sad thing is that my mum and dad now get on so well, they do lots of nice things together and are just generally happier than they were but then if they got back together, I'm sure they'd slip back to their old ways again. It was her new bloke which kind of caused the marriage split and now he gets upset if she spends any time with us and can't understand why she's so close with my Dad still and the minute she's not with him he's on the phone moaning (they don't live together).
It's just a horrible situation for all of us really and then she's so worried about money, she's living in her overdraft every month and hadn't paid a water bill since she moved in last March. Luckily it's one of my mum and dad's rental houses that she's living in and my dad pays the mortgage for her but it's still a struggle for her on a part time wage due to health problems which I can't spell lol. emphasaema????!!!! I called both water companies today and have set up the dds to come out of my acc. I know money's tight for me but I have more income than her and her water bills are relatively low (a total of £25 per month inc arrears which will go right down in November). I've told her that she needs to cut back and use some of the money I'm paying for her to chip away at her overdraft each month. My Dad helps her where he can, he pays her car insurance and gives her £150 per month, pays for stuff like car tax and obviously pays the mortgage but it's hard when I know how much they have both helped me in the past so I feel this is my chance to pay her back. I've never seen her so depressed but I think being able to talk about it and let off steam has helped. It's only recently that I've felt able to hear about her other bloke and stuff cos I just didn't want to know before. Maybe cos I kind of guessed how she was feeling but I finally felt ready to listen and try to support her.
Anyway back to me, not managed any debt re-payments still, goodness me this wait in between debt busting is hard to bear...roll on the first 2 weeks of June and then in July I should really be able to get a hold of it.
Itching to spend some money today and desperately need some shampoo but just don't want to look in case I get tempted. Have been to the bank and paid in the £300 for the car so that's one job done and have also done my daily hoovering and stuff. Have also managed to do 2 hours of work. In the office tomorrow...boo!!PAD total since 27/07/09 = £60.83 - [strike]Capital One[/strike]:[strike] £192.73[/strike]£27.00 Next catalogue: [strike]£429.00[/strike] £154.00Welcome car HP: [strike]£6090[/strike], £3900, Welcome Loan:[strike]£3370[/strike], £2660HLC #1: [strike]£907.00[/strike]£637.00, HLC #2:[strike] £838.00[/strike]£608.00Sealed Pot Challenge 2009 - Member #649 - Target £500...banked £119.50 already.0 -
Boo ... I'm here!!
Sounds like a difficult one with your folks. I'm sure all will work out for the best. I really do believe that. It's nice of you to help out where you can.
I completely understand about wanting to do more debt-busting! I get so frustrated that I can't do anything else between payday but I guess we're both doing all that we can!
Also just wanted to add that I bought Mr T's own shampoo ages ago & still have half of it left - yes I wash regularly!!! :rotfl: And it smells good & was about 99p each for the shampoo & conditioner. The one I got wasn't their blue stripe stuff but a big pink bottle - just a thought. Oh & I am a bit fussy about my shampoo too!!

Hi Helnag,
It's really nice of you helping out your mum like that! I guess when they help you out all your life, it's nice to give something back. Don't get too depressed about the debt busting, it will happen, the ticker thing is on tickerfactory.com, just follow the instructions. Bet you will be amazed at how much it has come down! As for shampoo, I tend to use Pantene shampoo/conditioner cos it saves me time (always running late) but I also buy 5 litre containers of shamp/cond from Salon Services - lasts me forever, well at least a year!
Have a nice night, got loads on so logging off here soon, honest xx0 -

Thanks, I'm sure you're right and it will all work out in the end, just difficult hearing her say that she wishes none of it had happened. Her and my Dad have been married for 35 years so it's quite strange how things are now!!
Will have to try the shampoo, I'm quite fussy due to my hair being a big dry mess but if it's only 99p then it must be worth a try!!
It's nice to know I'm not the only one who finds the wait frustrating in between pay days. The last 2 weeks of the month are the worst for me cos I always feel nervous about taking any money out as no matter how many times I add up all my dd's I'm convinced they're all gonna bounce and I'll get charges!!
Especially frustrating as I have to use this months wages from my 2nd job to pay off the last little bit on our holiday, it's my first full months wages from them and would have liked to pay debts but hey ho....come July I'll be ready to attack!!!! :j
Thanks for posting, feel sure I'm chatting to myself most of the time!!

Thanks Swinstie,
I don't really feel depressed about the debt busting just frustrated...I just seem to be having one of those '2 steps forward 8 back' times at the moment, every time I think I'll be able to clear some debts something goes wrong like cars etc!!
What's Salon Services?
Anyhoo, must dash, I'm supposed to be working!!
