Impressive savings on the shopping there too. Not sure I can bring ourselves to shop at the weekend though; OH does it on one of her days "off" in the week.0

Just realised so far this year we have managed to overpay a mammoth 2009 £3353, this overpayment thing is really addictive once you start realising how much you are saving in the long run. Just hope we can keep it going should be mortgage free in seven years as long as Mrs can kick into touch the idea of moving again. :-) I think if we can get under the 80k milestone it will be a huge pychological boost. Thanks both for encouragement.

Found another £200 in an old principality account paid this off mortgage today to make maximum again this month just :-) I am getting addicted to overpaying but at least its a healthy obsession. 7 years to go at the current rate of payment! Mortgage free at 35-36 is still the aimMortgage Start jun 2007 £88500 Outstanding Balance £51000

Ok started match betting this weekend, spent about 4 weeks reading all the forums and getting to grips with all the nitty gritty.
started off with a pot of £100 quickly found this was no where near a big enough float to start and it has gone up now to £400.
canbet, ladbrokes, gamebookers, bwin and william hill to start
canbet deposit 20 cashback zero freebet 30
ladbrokes d 21 cb 20 fb 10
gamebookers d50 cb 0 fb50
bwin d30 cb 0 fb 30
william hill d25 cb16.75 fb25 (also had vegas offer for an easy fiver)
Currently down about £380 but once all free bets credited will have about £500 not for the faint hearted by anyways and you should not rush into this without getting to grips.
In essence you use a bet exchange to lay off bets from bookmakers, usually making a small loss and then you get the free bet which you again lay off, and for a free £25 bet you can pocket around £22-23 pounds plus your original £25. At the moment waiting for money to trickle in again to replenish float so i am able to start the next round.
P.s must remember to buy the sun next week to get free morrisons money off voucher (5 off 30)Mortgage Start jun 2007 £88500 Outstanding Balance £51000

As a fellow matched better I would say it's worth slowing down a bit to maximise the signup bonus on big books. This seems a common mistake and one I made myself.
For instance the Ladbrokes offer you took is £10, but they were offering £250 during the Cheltenham festival. If you look over on the GIOL board there is a spreadsheet showing previous best offers that is very useful to work out which ones to wait for when starting out.0 -
i started off with ladbrokes as couldn't lose much if i got it wrong :-) thanks will bare this in mind in future and certainly check out that spreadsheet.Mortgage Start jun 2007 £88500 Outstanding Balance £51000

Does anyone else get excited when making an overpayment, its the 24th May and can't wait until the 1st so i can make my next overpayment to bring the balance down a little bit more and take that one step closer to mortgage free bliss. Not that i could afford to overpay sooner as don't get paid till the 29th. Getting down to 80k is a bigger target of mine and should get there in august 2009. if i hadn;t made any overpayments it would of taken me until Jan 2012 to reach this milestone.Mortgage Start jun 2007 £88500 Outstanding Balance £51000

Had a quiet week as inlaws down.
Redeemed Pureprofile money £25.36
Match Betting £33.50
Cashback showing recieved from Topcashback £120
Cashback showing recieved from Quidco £36
Had to work bank holiday so another £80
Total: 294.86 extra this week
On negative side just realised car tax £130 and car insurance due end of this month. In one hand and out the other as they say. Wish i could convince Gf to car share and get rid of one car, i would be about £1500 better off a year and wouldnt have to work so hard on my cunning plans. :-)
Also recieved £3 in luncheon vouchers from pinecone, £5 off morrison voucher from sun, email off tesco telling me i haven't spent my last £5 in clubcard vouchers so another £13 off Food shopping.
Finally redeemed 2 more pigsback vouchers, free food in pizza hut for me mmmmmmm.Mortgage Start jun 2007 £88500 Outstanding Balance £51000
