Does anyone remember a cheese in a jar that was available in the 1970s? I can't remember what it was called, but I used to love the stuff. It was quite orange. I hate to think what was actually in it!
Mmm... guilty secrets... spoonfuls standing at the fridge!
(Was still around in the 80s-90s)

We used to have a family competition to invent the most disgusting-sounding ice creams, our 'best' was 'Prune and Weasel' until an American friend suggested 'Liver Ripple' which I bet you can actually get somewhere or other ! yeuch.......0

Deep fried pizza is a delicacy!
Small pizza rounds from freshly made dough, quickly fried and then covered in tomato sauce and a handful of mozzarella and a sprinling of parmesan, then folded in two are one of my favourite memories of childhood treats that my Granny used to make for me!
Not slimming, mind you, but a fabulous few mouthfuls of delight! Nothing scary about that. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
OMG it was gorgeous! I think it was made by Kraft or Sun Pat - There were two kinds a red top jar and a blue top jar - the red top was orange and the blue top was pale yellow - Grrrr - I just can't remember what it was called and it will annoy me all day now!Does anyone remember a cheese in a jar that was available in the 1970s? Not sure if it's the worst food product, but fairly high on my list would be reduced-fat cheese. It's like eating candle-grease! _pale_If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
