RoyalMail RD/SD + Po Box cashback
Recorded Delivery + Special Delivery
Question for folks who have received a cashback cheque is the RM T+T still giving "Comeback Later" message for your ref no RD/SD receipt?
Sent claim 19 days ago 1st class recorded and the "Comeback Later" message still appears, does it take 19+ days to get from Glasgow to Wednesbury, West Midlands?

There are several threads on this point as it seems that there are problems with the RM tracking details online not updating for phone cashback papers.
I have two, one dated 10th Feb and one dated 14th still saying info not yet available. I have also *not* received any text messages from CPW/E2save acknowledging the claims.
Due to problems with my last e2save claims I actually opted for a cheap, non redemption contract this time round.

Its worth phoning up and asking if they have received your claim, most places should be able to tell you. If worse comes to worse you can always just send the claim again as long as its within your claim period.0

I suggest that you register a complaint about this to the Royal Mail regulator, here:

How much is the cashback claim for?
Golden rule is that if it's greater than £32 then you *must* use Special Delivery at £3.80-ish, you're guaranteed compensation of upto £500 if your package disappears en-route.You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -

Be careful here. The £3.85 figure you mentioned is for items weighing upto 100grams. You should not be under the illusion that Special Delivery automatically insures you for loss in the case of correspondence which is not valuable in itself. The cashback claims you are sending have no value. Therefore if you wish to insure these items for "consequential loss", then you will have to pay another £1.25 on top of that figure.0 -
exactly the same problem - 2 separate claims sent on 9th by recorded delivery - no evidence on royal mail website of signed for delivery and when you call royal mail ''customer service'' they dont give a toss - going to give them a few more days then call to postcomm - at least i have 60 days to get claim in so may send both claims in same special delivery as £500 compensation would easily cover both cashbacks0

I think this is covered in same price but you can not get a compensation for more than £500 (even if you pay extra £1.25). The claim you put will be LOST DOCUMENTS.

The £3.85 fee is for items upto 100grams and it covers you for loss or damage of the item contained therein. It does not cover you for compensation of lost/damaged cashback letters. For this you would need to have consequential loss insurance for which you will have to pay an additional £1.25 for compensation amounts upto £500 or £1.60 for consequential losses upto £2500.0 -
Royal Mail's recorded delivery provides basic compensation upto 100 times the price of a basic weight 1st class stamp (currently 30p x 100 = £30)
Royal Mail's Special Delivery offers enhanced compensation levels and consequential loss.
If you send your cashback voucher & bill by Recorded and they go missing, Royal Mail are completely within rights to compensate you for the value of the paper bills/forms you sent NOT how much cashback you would have got from the retailer0 -
Unless you say you sent something worth £300
