I would suggest you are quite fortunate they gave you 12 month or indeed any refund.

I have always found Love Film very reasonable to deal with. Much better than Sky.

I am very pleased they decided not to refund you any money. I hope they stand their ground and continue to ignore your silly moaning. If you were following advice on this site then the chances are you were trying to defraud them in the first place.

Didn't they ever write and query the fact that you didn't ever want any DVD's?

although we're no longer with lovefilm we've used them very happily in the past. on occasions where we had no dvds for a number of weeks we would be barraged with emails.

I used them. They are worthless pieces of !!!! in my opinion.

You have to have a minimum of 10 films on your list. I had a mix of modern releases and old horror movies. They never sent the newer films but were always happy to send the older films. I complained and they said it was because the older films I put down were not in demand by as many people so they sent them as a matter of course. Personally I found their service poor.

However in this case the OP is a class 1 numpty and they are within their rights to stand their ground.

although they like you to have at least 10 films on your list, we never went without dvds on the many occasions our list dropped below that magic figure (we were however inundated with email requests to add to our lists).

as for the order you receive dvds, understandly this is dependant on stock levels at the time. you can rank your dvd list in order of preference, to help ensure that you get them in (more or less) the order you want.

we've also enjoyed added extras from them, like decent money off codes to use in their dvd sales, and 3 month free trial membership cards which we've been abele to pass on to friends and family. as a previous customer we also get competitive rejoining offers from time to time.

personally i've had no problems with them and would happily use them again (just waiting for one of the aforementioned rejoining offers).

    Yeah and us.

We always got the DVD's we asked for (although the more popluar sometimes meant waiting a couple of weeks), series were sent in correct order, and as you say, they EMailed if the list fell below 10 - there is no way I wouldn't have known I was a subscriber.

On the one occasion a DVD wouldn't play properly, they sent a replacement straight away, and an extra 'free' film as a bonus.

When I cancelled, they were efficient, and no more payments were taken from my account (something I had been wary about, as so many of these internet firms keep charging for parts of a month etc.,).

Since leaving, they have sent us an offer pack, offering a free period should we ever wish to resubscribe.
