Lovefilm liars.......

I have sent them a letter recorded delivery asking for the full amount within 14 days as advised by consumer direct. They haven't even sent me the £140 they promised in the last phone conversation. I smell a rat.0

After all the letters and contact from the trading standards they still refused to give me money that is rightfully mine. They are crooks and cheats and I hope they go out of business. I am now out of work and that money could be very useful.
When a company tells you verbally that they will refund all your money and then changes your mind it stinks.0 -
With all due respect, and not addressing your issue directly I know, but you didn't spot it for 3 years? I bet you check your statements a little more carefully now, eh?0
-
i thought the same about 3 years but maybe it was a savings account or summat.0

this is ridiculous! lovefilm are supposed to take care of your finances because you don't?0

After consumer direct and trading standards getting involved they still wriggled out of refunding me. If you do not use the services of a company (and they clearly can see I have not had a single DVD) but they still take the money off you that to me is stealing. As a good will gesture they could have given it back bu they chose to pocket the money in their greed. Again, they initially told me verbally that they would pay the whole amount back. Weather I spotted it or not in my accounts is irrelevant.0

What a load of crock. Sorry, but whether you use the service or not is TOTALLY irrevelent. You've paid for the subvscription to the service, you got a subscription to the service. IT's not their fault or their business whether you actually use the facilities you've paid for.
Would you join a gym and then demand last weeks payment back because you haven't been? Of course you wouldn't, you'd slap your own wrist and promise yourself to go next week.
Just because you haven't used the service, it doesn't mean they shouldn't charge you.:j [STRIKE]Debt Free[/STRIKE] Savings Wannabe! :jCurrent problems: £107 overdrawn in bank, £112 in unpaid DD'sSavings made: £0

Perhaps if it happened to you you wouldn't be so dismissive. Muppet !!!0 -
If it happened to me I would realise that I signed up for the service, I should have noticed I was still subscribed, and accept that I would have been charged for it. That's just the way that businesses work, they're not going to think you haven't ordered anything for a while so nicely stop charging you. It sucks that they went back on their word, and you should chase them down for that, but to think that all companies are out to look out for your best interests and not their own is a bit naiive.

Didn't they ever write and query the fact that you didn't ever want any DVD's?

The usual way with them is they send one, you send it back, and then they send the next one from your list - and, unless you cancel or 'take a holiday' then they would have either Emailed, written or phoned if there were no films on your list.
We used them until we got SKY, and thought they were great - never a single problem.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.
