kleeneze do a small anti-static spray. think it is less than £3 - has worked wonders on lined silk skirts [but spray lining not material and check it does not stain first]....stops that awful feeling when your skirt and tights are attracted to eachother and creep up as you walk, exposing your bottom to the world

also said it could be used on computer screens

Thanks for your responses. I read if you do not have any Bounce sheets, a strong piece of kitchen towel damped by a diluted mix of fabric conditioner and water and place both in the tumble drier, low temperature should do the trick.............just tried it, seems to have worked.

HI you could try using a body lotion on your legs, it works for me.
  • I bought a new pair of trousers and they are constantly static.

Unfortunately they are dry clean only so I can't wash them with fabric softener which is what I would usually do.

    Any ideas anyone?

Hi. It won't help the trouser, but you could try body lotion on your legs. It works for me.

    Hi novice :)

I've added your query onto a very recent thread covering the same problem. You'll need to read from the beginning as posts are listed in date order :)

Hi guys, hope you can help,

I've got a few cotton/wool jumpers that always come out of the tumble dryer absolutely full of static, so much that they crackle when I touch them lol

Is there any way that I can stop this happening in the dryer?

I have a new pair of trousers for work whihc always end up with a loadod static in them and cling to my legs and bum! They're lovely and look nice but I hate the fact that no matter what I do they end up full of static!
Any ideas to get rid of it?
