Queenie - I'm very lucky don't tell everyone but hubby borrows father christmas' sleigh at this time of year to put it through a test drive (or that is what he tells me) thus getting to Canterbury and back is quite quick these day's (ok he works in Canterbury). He said that he actually asked a member of staff for help!
Anyway he was told to try Asda which is is going to try tomorrow (day off for nativity today ahhh).
If he cant find any i'll try the hairspray trick, but i might try a steam
- thanks very much to all

I've got the same problem with everything in this house....me and DD's all having dead straight fine hair doesn't help....we keep shocking each other and every time we get dressed our hair stands on end....it's quite a party trick.
A squirt of hairspray does the trick inside things.....also wearing slippers in the house has helped....socks on carpets just tend to add to the "spark" effect!
Niki - I'm just down the road from you near Dover.....cooooeeeee!! :santa2:"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Thanks for the tips, may try to make one at some point but my sewing machine is not great (given to me by my grandmother in law it must be 30 years old at least, not saying that it doesnt work its just I can't work it!)
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hi,
Have you tried a spray called "anti static"?
I THINK i got it a John Lewis, i had to get one in the summer for a dress i wore to a wedding, you just spray it on the garment before use, i thought it was great. It is by a company called"Go stat", in a spray can.
HTH.

I have a pair of black trousers that I have washed and they are full of static, they really cling around my legs. Is there anything I can use to ged rid of the static now, or for the next time I wash them ?. I don't have a tumble dryer.
Thanks in advance.0
