Both of these from post 762 still work.

2-for-1 link HERE (select from drop down rate list)

However they do not work at every hotel for every night of the week. E.g 2 for 1 only works on a 2 night stay not a 4 night stay. They wont work in franchise hotels and frequently the codes wont work at hotels that are more than half full.

But they do work. 2 weeks ago I booked Birmingham HI Executive room total price for 2 nights £70 (£35pn), we stayed there last weekend, very nice room! I have put some friends of ours up in the Sheffield HI for our wedding at the end of July, I got a total price of £65 for 2 nights per room (£32.50pn). You cannot get rates that cheap elsewhere for a normal room!

Earlier this year at a friends wedding down south we paid £30 for one night at a HIE in somewhere pretty ugly, i think it may have been Luton. It was a great hotel though, this was with the 35% off.

I have not seen any good deals for London or Barcelona yet so Im not to sure these hotels participate or if they are always to full to want to take extra people paying small fees.

Re Barcelona, I have tried for ages to get a good deal on the 22 hotel which is near to the centre of Barcelona and within walking distance to the beach It never comes up, they don't even accept the Employees discount card (white card). Most disapponted :mad:
When we went we got the impression that it is a franchise and it doesn't need to offer any reduced rates as it is always nearly full especially in the warmer months....

Looking for a 4 night break.

I've been playing and I can get a really good deal if I split it into two bookings using the 2-for-1 offer.

Effectively this would be a case of check-in, stay two nights, check-out on day 3, check-in later on day 3 on the other booking.

Any see a problem with this?.

You won't have to actually check out. Just make reception aware at the time of check-in and they will combine both bookings for you.

I've got the HI Barcelona -City 22 booked for 5 nights 5th to 10th Sept with F&F rate, mind you when I've looked at confirmation to check - I booked it 23rd December last year!
5 nights for 454.75Euro

Edited to say, I've just checked on website and now priced at 603E - a saving of 148.25E

Well done, I could never find any for Barcelona !
If you come out of the hotel and go left (east) past the little supermarket and then turn right there are lots of restaurants on the way to the beach (10 mins away) or turn left and walk away from the beach and there is a new shopping complex with supermarket

Stayed here before. Try to go when the local Festa Major del Poblenou is on. Loads to do, and there's always lots of different entertainment on.:beer:
