We're just back from an extended meander around Colorado, Utah and Arizona. We pre-booked using F&F including double-suite accommodation in Staybridge Suites in addition to Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. We saved a small fortune on rack rate as well as the discounted offers on booking.com / lastminute.com.
We printed out the F&F page before leaving but not a single US venue asked to look at it. Not one.
* Thanks to the original OP -- who I don't think has any connection with IHG any more? -- we've saved many £100s through using F&F in the UK, Europe, and extensively in the USA. Although no-one has ever asked to check our paperwork, I'd advise against using the name Anthony Bainbridge: it's my understanding that he was a well-known senior executive who left IHG quite some time ago now. The name we use is another one kindly provided by obukit way back in 2009.0 -
Thank you, the link loaded for me :money:0 -

What name is supposed to be used now because I was contemplating making a reservation using the Friends & Family link but I don't want to make it until I have the correct name because otherwise my booking would be invalid?0 -

It really doesn't matter. No one checks the name....and very few even ask to see the form.0 -

No offence, but the name is on the very first post/page
You need to print out a voucher and fill in the employees name as "Anthony Bainbridge", along with details of your reservation from your confirmation email.

although as stated you could put any name down as each hotel is a franchise,(and they don't check) and they don't know every employee, at least I don't think so
and on another note
I have used this voucher rate many, many times, and despite having the voucher with me (in the UK) I have never been asked for it either
However went to New York (Feb 2014) low and behold I never took the voucher, and yes you guessed it, I was asked for the voucher (the one I din't have) to be fair the hotel (Holiday Inn Express) where excellent, they printed one off for me, I just filled it out, and no problem
I will make sure I have it though for our next trip to New York just in case0 -

Hi,
Looking to book a holiday inn express for 3 adults. By conventional routes (i.e. HI express website), a double room with sofabed is an option for £78. However, it does state that a £40 surcharge starting with 3rd adult is payable (i.e. £118).
I have been looking at this forum and using the F&F link above. Doing so, brings the price down to £63 for the same room but that only permits 1 adult to be entered (when searching 3 adults, no rooms come up even though the same room can still be booked for 1 person???
My question is, if I book stating one adult (eventhough the room is stated suitable for up to 3) will I be charged extra for the additional persons? The email confirmation does state estimate total price and additional charges may apply? Does anyone have experience with this and what is best to do?
Also, if I leave as 1 person is sneaking the other 2 in an option?
Thanks0 -
