Charities Board

We’re struggling at the moment with the huge volumes of messages we’re getting from Forumites about coronavirus and the impact it’s having on their finances. We’re a small team, with limited resources, but we’re doing our best to manage this spike in demand.

At this time, please note the Charities Board should only be used by registered charities and not include personal posts. I’m afraid we will have to delete any posts that aren’t from a registered charity. If you are facing personal financial difficulties at the moment, please use MSE’s coronavirus guides – they contain all the info we have and are constantly being updated:

  • Hi

I use the everyclick search engine to help raise money for the Gipsy Moth project, instead of searching using Google, carry out a search using everyclick and each search raises money for your selected charity.

    Here's the link I use: http://www.everyclick.com/uk/gipsymothiv/

If you have a local or national charity that you support that's registered with everyclick, you can raise money for them instead.

This is a site that has been on for quite some time. They feed poor children in Argentina (and are always short of sponsors!):

    https://www.porloschicos.com

You have to click on the circle that says "GRATIS" (free).

Also, I would like to publish something I received today:

"Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is having
trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their
quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged
woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating
a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle).

This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use
the number of daily visits to donate mammogram
    in exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know. "

    Thanks for your help!

CMT All you need to do is do a search and carry it through using the [sponsored result].
CMT United Kingdom is the national support group for people affected by Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease - a rare neuro-muscular condition affecting the legs/feet, and arms/hands. It is a progressive condition, and as yet, there is no cure. My daughter has this condition.More info here
This is a great idea Poppycat! Thanks for posting it. :)
