The pet pack does come supplied with the universal fitting adaptors which are designed to fit most vacuum hoses.

I have a Miele vacuum cleaner and it doesn't adapt to them, either.
However, one end of each adapter is 32mm in diameter, the same size as standard plastic sink drainpipe. You will probably find the tubes of your various cleaners are also that size (place the vacuum tube against the adapter tube to check.)

If so, a trip to B&Q plumbing section will provide you with a plastic push-together joining tube (to join two lengths of sink drainpipe) to link your vacuum cleaner to the pet pack and form an airtight seal. At £9.99 for the pet pack and about 60p for the joiner, it's still a bargain. You can even get them with a 45 degree angle (instead of straight) so that the pet hair unit is easier to use.

just wanted to let you all know that I took David39's advice and sent OH out to B&Q this morning to get the joining tube. It work brilliantly - I have just cleaned all my curtains using it and all the black cat hairs are gone!! It attaches the hoover to the attachment really well (so much that I could hardly let it off lol!! ) and stays put like any other attachment

so I would recommend it for anyone whose hoover wasn't compatiable, and a big thank you to David39 for the great idea!!
