we probably should have gone to china town proper but it was turning into a magical mystery tour so we plumped for the nearest one... some folks just weren't up to the walking... shame cause i bet chinatown would have been nicer.... we were only one more block away, but for some reason we crossed the road and ended up at DodgyWongsChineseEmporium....

although, i thought it was okay, but i must have low standards! lol!!

You probably couldn't taste the nastyness due to weeks of soups and shakes, anything tastes lush when you are hungry :p

I'm just catching up on the thread and am still on page 3, so apologies if this lands right in the middle of an in depth discussion.

Thanks Maz and QB, today has been quite hard going, but I managed to (mostly) concentrate at work.

Ryan is in trouble at school, when I got there 3 teachers were crowded round him trying to talk to him - not in a nasty way, but they know he has trouble filtering and processing sounds, so goodness knows how they though he would cope with 3 of them talking at him at once. He was just standing there in tears looking completely bewildered, so I totally ignored the teachers for a good couple of minutes and just hugged the poor little guy. It made me so sad. :(

Apparently he had an outburst and his behaviour is getting slowly worse....as I predicted it would as the work becomes more complex and he starts to struggle to cope.....and they didn't believe me because 'he's so intelligent, he will easily keep up'.

He IS hugely (scarily) intelligent, but that doesn't necessarily mean he can cope with schoolwork if it's not tailored to his learning methods.

I did snigger a bit when the learning mentor said 'What was I trying to learn you today Ryan', and Ryan looked at her completely horrified and said 'do you mean what were you trying to TEACH me today?'. :rotfl:

Oh QB - depending on which supermarket you use, there are loads of voucher codes on here - I have never paid full price for a Tesco order yet. I always get at least £5 off, which covers the delivery charge (plus I don't put endless rubbish in my trolley so it saves me a fortune), but the last couple of weeks I've had £7.50 off a £60 shop and £10 off a £90 shop. :T

Ah Snags poor Ryan, you would think they might understand 3 of them crowded around trying to talk to him would really NOT help. Don't think there are many children that would cope with that and bet it made your day when he corrected the mentor..hillarious brought her down a peg or 2 :)

i just wish i'd done what lenny did and just abstained altogether... if i'd realised he wasn't eating, then i would have done the same... but by the time i knew that i was on my 2nd duck pancake! lol!!

i didn't have rice or chips, or even prawn crackers, mainly meat n veg... finers crossed eh.. but like i said, i'll settle for 0...!

Question is; what shall i have to eat tonight???

I don't have a bloody clue what I ate - all i know is I had soy sauce with my soda!!
