at our uni your deadline is dependant upon what your module tutor sets so it could be that your friends dissertation is due in before yours?
(i'm on a science course so our practical elements have a very varied time line)0 -
i finished my law degree last year. i worked 3 1/2 days a week commuted an hour each way 4 days a week, had to run a home, do a dissertation and essays and i did it! so can you! just think positively! personally i find work i do under pressure to be the best work i do! not that i think so at the time!
if your really struggling go speak to your personal tutor/head of dept and tell them and possibly get an extension.
best of luck! xxGoals for 2010Current Credit Cards £4500,£4200, £4000, £3000Overdraft £1500 PAID OFF!0 -
Its definatly still do-able if you really get on with it now.
If you have really only just found out when the deadline is then you should make a complaint. Didnt they produce a dissertation module handbook for everyone?
To be honest i dont think the OP would be able to get an extension just because she has a child to raise. Well i know my university wouldnt take this as a valid excuse. There are alot of people who have further responsibilities on top of uni work and you must have known you would have to do a dissertation?
Good luck anyway, i dont think theres any need to panic, it is still certainly do able!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

Just found out my dissertation is due in on the 21/04! Now completely freaking out because have done hardly any work and also have a family law assignment due in on 21/04.
Is it possible to do research, write a dissertation, complete an assignment and revise for exams in seven weeks?!!!!

Get off this board. Get working.
Surely by your 3rd year you would have started talking to tutors and planning in advance, reading unit guides and knowing when things will be in for.0 -
All I can say is good luck
I graduated last year and found my final year to be the hardest. I didn't have much of a life but it was worth it in the end as I achieved the 1st class degree that I wanted!
Knuckle down and get writing

Thank you everyone, its a law degree and its partly my fault for thinking I could get away with doing as little work as possible like I did with the previous two years (and still received consistant 2:1 grades).
Am doing reading practically every night now and already am fed up of it......Don't know where to start with writing it now, not sure there even is such a thing as Fathers rights.....hmm confused and I had a relatively easy topic lol!0 -
Thats easy...almost two months? Wait till fourth year...0

This is the last year!
And I is having five weeks now
Just been trying to get all the housework done so I can just concentrate on the coursework. Usually when I have work due in the whole house goes to hell but I can't leave it for five weeks, not with twelve animals!!0 -
