IN STOCK but OUT OF STOCK!!

Let me get this right - they cancelled your order, gave you your money back but still delivered the goods? So in essence, you have a free laptop but you still want reimbursing?0

It is possible for there to be "stock" showing yet no "stock" on the shelf and hence out of stock. The reasons can be any of the following picking errors, inventory system glitchs, stock theft, quality control problems etc. I work in warehousing and have seen every possible scenario.0

I'm sorry if anyone is confused...they emailed me after taking my order and payment to say that it was out of stock and the manufacturer could not say when they would be re.delivering, I cancelled, they emailed confirming cancellation and reimboursement. 4 days later they delivered. I now do not know if I have been reimboursed or not (no internet banking). I just want it taken away, and nobody answers my emails. I was not at home when they delivered....And for he who says I'm making mountains out of mole hills, for me this molehill is a mountain!! All depends on what you can cope with.....0

Ah, I'm clearer now. You have the right to cancel this order under the distance selling regulations. Have a look on the company's website to see how they like to be advised of cancellation and take it from there (usually an email is required). I would imagine that for something like a laptop they would collect but they may state in their terms that you will need to return it to them (although if it is their mistake for sending it after telling you they had no stock then they should really pay for this). In any event, the DSR's state that a refund must be made within 30 days of cancellation. Good luck!0

just call them and speak to them,0 -
Yes, they emailed saying no problem, please complete the form which is attached down load and return the goods to "FRANCE!!!" are they off their head? I just can't be bothered anymore...it took 3 emails to get the reply to send the laptop to France....just as well I was making a mountain out of a mole hill....any company who emails saying 'thanks for your email, which is receiveing attention' with a "noreply" email address....is deliberately making life difficut for the consumer......I don't care what anyone thinks this is unacceptable.....see all the smart !!! answers above..."you are so angry"..."everyone makes mistakes" "just bad comunication" "stock can run out" etccccc yes, mountains outta mole hills....0

They are responsible for arranging to collect the item and also for cost of return.
Did you buy this from Pixmania by any chance? They are part of DSG who own PC World, Currys, Dixons etc. Try contacting their UK office in Hemel.
