Hi,
Wonder if I'm doing something wrong ... trying to find insuresupermarket's exclusive £37.33 deal with EuropAssist for autoservice full cover as per Martin's article. The only EuropAssist quote I'm getting is for £53.67 and there's also a £50 excess for breaking down at home.
Does anyone know if insuresupermarket has changed their exclusive deals - or am I missing something?
Thanks,
RoCas0 -
Works ok for me, but still with the £50 excess. I presume that must be standard for a home call.
What options are you selecting?0 -

The details I'm putting in, other than date of birth, are:
Year of reg - 1994
Annual mileage - 5000
No European cover
Platunum cover
The result I get is: First Call for the first two options, then Gem, and then EuropAssist at £53.67. I guess the difference could be the age of my car (or me!). What do you think?
In my past experience, an excess on homecall doesn't normally apply when it's the top package because you're already paying for that extra in the level of cover.
Thanks for your help,

Well I joined AutoAid just before Christmas and had to use them recently.
Can't fault their service - got a recovery vehicle to me within 30 minutes (1:30 in the morning in mid Wales !). Sent my claim in on Monday, received the cheque today (Thursday).
Excellent Service, especially for the price.
Thanks for drawing my attention to them !

You can now get First Call full "Gold" (home and onward journey) for £32 from insure supermarket which effectively "matches" Autoaid. Drawbacks are the £40 home excess and it covers the car not the driver. Still cheap though and have bought cover today. Fingers crossed on the service! You should have used Odorono!0

i'VE finally found a breakdown service with the full package that insures joint persons (not only the car) without the hassle of pay and claim. GEM motoring assist for £95. Not bad considering most quotes were around £130 upwards.
No cashback sites unfortunatelyThe reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0 -
I don't know if I'm being a bit of a thicko here but I don't understand what Auto Aid covers. Do they reimburse you just for the recovery of your vehicle or do they reimburse you for the cost of the repairs aswell?0

I think Auto aid cover you for coming out to you and the labour...not any parts that are required. This is fairly standard for recovery services and, in the past, when I've had to call people out it's usually an adjustment that needs to be made or something cleaned...never needed any major parts. If it's a minor part, they usually let you have it for nothing. You should have used Odorono!0

Hi,
Was looking at the article today and noticed that buying Greenflag's basic policy online was £29.20 but you can get £20 cashback from Quidco; making it effectively 9.20 Ideal for anyone watching the pennies who doesn't need or want cover from home or onward travel.
As this is a new Quidco deal, it has to be a mis price!

I think Autoaid is one of the few companies on this forum which has not got a single negative feedback. I guess you can't fault them in any way.0
