Faulty Xbox but No receipt and paid for in Cash - help!?

You dont need to phone them as it can be done online. You log in using your xbox-live account details and input your serial number. It will then tell you what your warranty status is.

All you do is print out the UPS address label and arrange delivery - mine was sent on a friday to Germany and arrived back 7 working days later

I had to email them last week as my xbox was showing up as out of warranty ( it was purchased last May )and send a copy of my reciept via email to get it changed

The xbox also has date of manufacture on the back ( mine was june 07 and purchased may 08 )

Was it a traded in console? If so it could well be outside the 3 year warranty. Blockbuster sell lots of trade ins but this should be clearly stated on the box and represented in the price.

Also, did your brother use a Blockbuster account to pay for the Xbox, or did he hand over his card when he was purchasing it? If he has a membership with Blockbuster they would've put the transaction through on his account, which they can then access and get a receipt for him. Go in store and ask if this is possible.

does an xbox 360 have a 3 year warranty?? Mine has been reigestered and I have been told its only got a 1 year warranty and that it is out of that already! xx

They extended it to 3 years because so many of them break.
