The 2006 xboxs came with a 1 year warranty but they gave them a year warranty as they have a design fault.

No I got 1 red light with the error message E74

So i got no chance of a free repair on this one?? xx

yes I am, but i registered my xbox on the phone, and when i tried to log in it tells me i have no consoles registered, but wont let me try to register an already registered xbox xx

Arew the "fixed" x boxes more reliable?...

I just had to sort out for a friends son his broken x box which was only 3 weeks old when it broke this January..To be fair to Microsoft I couldn't fault the repair service..UPS picked it up from my home address within an hour of asking. It went to Frankfurt to be repaired and arrived back 7 days later all fixed!

I'm just concerned about long term reliability

They collected mine and delivered it back within ten days, as they could not repair it they replaced it with a refurbed model.

I beleive if you have to have it repaired times they give you a brand new one and an upgrade.

Hailz86 ring xbox up and tell them you have the "Three red lights of doom" (Three red lights showing on console) they should then arrange for a repair under the three you warranty and arrange for a courier to pick it up. (They won't ask you for a receipt, I know this as I won mine in a competition so I had no receipt)

Get your next one registered through xbox live as you can do the warranty repairs through there really easily.

Dacouch, is there an error code for the three red lights? I only have one light, so only a mini doom lol!! xx
