I have done the same with my £20, but I'm wondering whether it's best to use this as a savings account, since it's 3% interest?

3% INTEREST SEEMS PRETTY GOOD. Maybe you should put more money into this account

  • Fantastic! Many thanks. I really wasn't expecting it to be that easy. £20 (plus a penny interest) for a couple of minutes' work, effortless to empty and close the account and, more to the point, minimal paperwork sent out in the post, despite the concerns of several posters above (as long as they don't start spamming me now in revenge for my grabbing and ditching...). Contrast with a non-stop torrent of trash from A&L in the last week or two.
  • I didnt get any referals from them but I think the interest rate is 2.5% for my account? Better then many

The rates dropped twice since we all opened one for the £20 offer, now at 2% since yesterday. Better than I'm getting elsewhere and I'm still using it.

I called up to ask about the refer a friend offer, if you haven't recieved a letter you won't get money for refering anyone. The lad seemed irritated, like he had been asked the question a lot of times before, and he said he didn't know how their marketting team picked who got the letter, that was down to their criteria.

Hey all, if anyone would like to open an ING savings account, I have a referal code that will give us both £25 each.

It only takes about 10 minutes and the minimum desposit is only a £1.00

    Let me know :)

Edit: Have messaged the first two people who pm'd me.

    Many thanks guys.
  • That sounds great. Thanks very much.

    Have PMd you JeffyG
  • Hmm. I got my £20 bonus but they sent my wifes cheque because it had a small correction on it that needed to be initalled.

£1 is now in the account but no sign of the £20. Was I too late funding the account because I had to send the cheque back?

I opened the account the same time as mine (when the offer was still running) but, like I said, initialled cheque didnt get back to them for a week or so after.

    Hi,

I have two referral codes for opening an ING account, we each get £25 and you only need a £1 deposit- and I think the rates quite good for new customers.

PM me and I will send out the details,

    Thanks
