hmmm I wonder if they will honor mine, I started the application litterally a minute or so before it expired! Application seems to have one through ok though.

Just spoke to ING to confirm if I needed to send any proof of ID. I luckily did not.
Apparently they use Experian to credit check everyone. Anyone who
they can not verify may need to send in extra proof of ID. This usually appies to
people who move house a lot.

they use experian to ID check you, not credit check you. you are not applying for any credit :)

emweaver, I don't think it asked me to provide this so we ladies are OK, just our annoying men!!

I opened one for my fiance and it didn't ask for any id. Perhaps it's more to do with the length of time living at your house rather than your gender?
If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.

When I posted about this before Christmas when my wife received an unsolicited mailing from ING the cynics were quickly on to my back asking if I worked for ING.

For what it's worth our story is that my wife opened her account and got her free £20.
They then wrote to her and offered her £25 for every one up to three friends she introduced and they would qualify for the £20 bonus when their account was opened.

Result was that myself and our 2 sons opened accounts so for a total family spend of £4 my wife received £95, I and my two sons received £20 each so the family is £155 better off !

I'm still waiting on them offering me £25 for every introduction I make!

Easy peasy yet the glass half full brigade could only criticise. Thanks, Martin for getting the herd on the case.

    Brilliant stuff :T

Just about to send my cheque, thanks again Martin.

    I suddenly feel happy again.
Why do people feel the need to keep up with the Jones's ?? Why do some people feel the need to out do there friends and family ?? is this real happiness ??

No it's not that. I've been living at my current house for 2 months and they didn't ask for any ID.
