Boots - Points Bonanza Continues... III

Boots have a one voucher per transaction rule, so to use the voucher from magazine and voucher from bag in one day you would have to either do two seperate transactions in one day or use them one after another, i very much doubt you can bomine vouchers - that is just wishful thinking, but you could do one transaction with the 250pts voucher and one transaction with the 200pts from the magazine, giving you 450pts on two transactions, i think that's the only way it would work.
i wasn't in boots today but will be going with my bossy grandmother tomorrow - only on once condition that ADVANTAGE_CARD GETS ALL THE POINTS lol. i need to order something for mother's day tomorrow but i don't know what, was fancying a dior addict lipgloss but it won't let me *select a shade* so thats out, sigh.my advantage_card is like gold dush0 -

I am about to order from Boots online, being a newbie to the points lark could somebody please tell me how much is a point worth.
If you get 200 points is that equivalent to £2.00 so that if you buy something that costs £5.00 then minus your 200 points= £2.00 it then comes down to £3.00.
I am giving myself a headache trying to get that blooming freebie bag.MATH is this a case of going too far again. The thing is I have 3 ladies birthdays coming up plus my own:DWomen and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

200 points is £2 but the points are put onto your advantage card for use later. you wuold pay the £5 in your example and then be able to either buy something for £2 or less or save up the points. You can't put them towards something ie pay in both points and cash only something worth the points you have or less.Nice to save.0

Is this actually true? It isn't applied religiously in all stores if it is - certainly in my store, they'll try any I hand over, and usually the till will allow more than one voucher per transaction.0 -

I think this varies so much, depending on the store, person serving you, the type of vouchers you're using, etc. I wish I knew EXACTLY what their policy is (personally I think one voucher per transaction is a bit stupid if they're completely different vouchers for different products etc!).
And what's the deal with Boots and manufacturers' vouchers? Say you're buying 2 Pampers and you have 2x their vouchers, any supermarket would accept them both but I was told in Boots that they don't! Grrr... surely that's not right?!0 -

In the case of the Pampers - I'd just buy one....walk to the back of the queue and buy the other, thereby proving how stupid this "rule" was!!0 -
Hi everyone,
Sorry I've missed this thread recently well, suffered an accident over xmas (along with lost password for this website) so no boots points for me recently - but Boots must have noticed my lack of spending coz they've sent me a mailshot with lots of vouchers (I've had my first ever mailshot- yippee!) lots of vouchers - not all good either but does include a double points voucher for 2 transactions!
It said I'd received over £1,000 of points just in the last yr - nah can't be! (Shhhh!) - Only found my mislaid adcard after the toe separators lark had finished.
Yet to pick up new mag too.
My experience of one voucher rule is usually one voucher per transaction if the same else as many different ones as can be valid.
Of course, the occasional stubborn assistant does crop up now and then - seeing as I live in London I ignore them and go to another store/assistant but I never miss out!
As for No7 new range, looks pricey to me at the moment, so gonna hold out until it gets a bit better (I hope...) eyeing up their lipsticks until then.
PS Sorry Angela didn't get back to you although saw your PM0 -

I know, I would've done only they were on promotion, 2 for £XX. But it really baffles me how I've bought 2 Sanex shower gels in Sainsburys and used two 50p off vouchers even though the Sanex were BOGOF, but I can't do it in Boots.0
