No idea, lol! Picked one up took it to checkout and saw the points so went back for the other 20.
Didn't use/need a voucher or anything.
Lip liners were No 7 and were reduced to £1.Herman - MP for all!0 -
I did this last week but they were Boots 17 lip pencils.0

Im sure it wouldn`t take BOOTS long to suss this out and would you really want to lose your card for £30 of points as you would clearly have broken the terms & conditions... besides they put enough LEGITIMATE offers on to gain plenty of points
I ALWAYS find out the rules regarding coupons/vouchers/codes ECT BEFORE shopping with any company so there is no comeback ......AGAIN I would like to say these are only MY own views and as always EACH to their own !
I wouldn't go out of my way to do this, and I don't particually condone it, but if I found I had to send something back, I wouldn't go out of my way to ensure that the points were on my card.
Like you say it's down to personal opinion and morality, but I wouldn't necessarily see this as any different from most of the other 'money saving' that occurs on this site. e.g. Is buying 30 face masks and a bar of soap to earn £30 of points that much different to what is suggested ?? I would say no way, both are cynical abuses of loop holes for personal gain.
N.B. I have got no issues with anyone that chooses to do this BTW, I'm not here to start arguments, just fuel interesting discussion/thoughts0 -
Hi again Rattla ... only me
I think I may have misunderstood the point you were trying to get across
What I meant in my reply was I wouldn`t buy an item with the sole intention of sending it back just to obtain points .. and YES I agree with you with regards to buying face masks and 1 bar of soap ( the voucher clearly states they are excluded ) along with the suggestion a while back of buying the famous TOE SEPERATORS then taking the back in with the intention of buying them again to obtain more points so I personally like yourself wouldn`t try this.
HOWEVER I did 2 years ago want to buy an electrical item from boots which was priced at £159.99 but at the same time they had a promotion which offered 150 points for EVERY item of a certain product purchased. There was one item that was priced at 89p with NO EXCLUSIONS applied ... so instead of paying full price for item I bought 107 of the 89p items thus giving me 16050 costing £95.23 I then swapped my points for the item I wanted originally
SAVING ME OVER £65 & I used the 107 items as presents for the kids club I run at christmas.
In this case I myself dont have ANY personal misgivings of doing anything other than some clever shopping ... BUT if anyone has a differing view please give your opinion ..I would also be interested to hear from anyone who has no problem with obtaining points by any method they can
But PLEASE,PLEASE remember I have NO PROBLEM with anyones opinions, morals or ethics like Rattla stated its just an interesting moral dilemma0 -
I just haven't beet very lucky at Boots recently... Today, FINALLY got some Young solutions 200 points vouchers from the machine, actually managed to find the stuff, but you'll never guess what - it only gave me 200 points once! (I had 10 sachets and 1 soap).
Have their tills been updated or something? I noticed the receipt looked slightly different, it actually had "points offer" in the middle of the receipt, not just at the end (as in:
HUGGIES NAPPIES
HUGGIES NAPPIES
**** MULTI-SAVE***
**** OFFER POINTS***
blah blah)
Or is this the fact that I was also buying loads of other things with special points (£25 of baby stuff for 500 points, 2 Huggies for 200 points etc) and the till got confused? Oh poo...

Hello!
Can someone tell me if when you buy something with your boots points are you still supposed to get points back as well?
I'm new to all this Boots stuff.
I spent a few pounds on my card with points but didn't receive any points back??
Thanks0 -

I bought some of the new No 7 and got the free bag of goodies. There's a voucher for 250 points off No 7 in it. I was wondering if it would work with the 200 points off in the magazine as well...maybe if i got 2 items and tried to use 1 voucher with each then I'd get 450 points off each - or maybe that's wishful thinking!0
