    Good luck for tomorrow pugs.
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.
  • Hi everyone, I'm a complete newbie so be gentle with me ;)

Having phoned my local court about serving my own petition, I was told you cant make an appointment, you just turn up in the morning and they hear 4 bankruptcy cases a day, so you have to hope you're one of the first 4 in the door at 9am! Brilliant when I work FT and am having to take time off to do this.

Anyway, my 'B' day is hopefully going to be Monday 20th April....but could be Tuesday 21st if I have to go back!

    Fingers crossed now.

Best wishes for tomorrow Pugs! Hope it all goes well.

Hiya Poorprincess! Welcome to the BR forum. You are very welcome to the April Club. I hope you have had a chance to read through a lot of the posts to get information about how the whole process works. Also, if you need help with the forms and your soa, then please post up your questions on the main board and we will be only too happy to help out. I hope that you make it through the doors as one of the four. Best of luck with it all.

Thanks for well wishes everyone - i am just checking his forms, and then getting to bed!! Our appointment is 11.30am, and to be honest i am more worried that its the first time i am leaving our 12 week old baby with my mum (that sounds terrible!!) My husband is very nervous, but as i have already gone bankrupt i am OK with it all - My husband was there with me in August so he knows whats going to happen, but he is worried incase he gets a 'not so nice' judge or OR.

Congratulations to everyone so far BR ths month, and good luck to the remaining few x x x x x

  • As my day is looming next week, can anyone tell me how I should pay the bankruptcy fees? I hear you cant use a personal cheque? As I cant afford the fees myself, someone is lending me the money.

Thanks, the help, support and guidance on here have really reassured me that I'm not a total failure and it can happen to us all.

    Hi PP,

You need to take in hard cash - they won't take a cheque so your friend will need to draw it out.

Don't forget you will have to pay them back on the sly out of any surplus you have as technically they will be a creditor and you don't want the OR to get the hump!

    Good luck for next week!

    Cheers
