Would I be wrong to expect........

It should be reasonable to expect any product to be complete unless otherwise stated - if you were buying a car, you wouldn't expect to have to ask a question to make sure that the engine is in it !
if I were buying it on eBay then yes, I most definately would expect to have to ask if the engine were in it!0 -
Are some of you people for real? Goodness I'm mainly a seller but this is unreal.
The seller listed something that was incomplete if buyers had known this they would have bid less or not at all. So the seller is trying to deceive!
If he made a mistake the OP emailed him to enquire again he could have answered promptly saying sorry at least. He didn't bother to reply!
OP opens a dispute then he gets a reply. That reply is a smart !!! answer!
As I have already said he deserves a neg perhaps not for the item but a failure to communicate.
As an online seller all you have is your ability to communicate well if you can't do that then you shouldn't be selling online whether it's ebay or not.0 -
Paypal today found in my favour so I'd suggest that the instruction booklet should be included unless stated and not the other way around.Terms & Conditions Apply0

so what does that mean that you can return the game for a full refund? however you'd still be out of pocket for postage returning the game. If that's the case I'd NEG the sob and leave it at that.0 -

Cost of return will be £1.50 so it will be worth it.
They'll be getting a big juicy neg' as soon as I have my refund.Terms & Conditions Apply0 -

but only if you get your money back, there are so many scammers on ebay now I'd call it a day after a neg. Do you really need the instructions? I have many games and don't think I've ever looked at the booklet, but I'm sure it depends on the type of game.0 -

Get a grip. A neg' isn't then end of the universe and if you bother to read the whole thread you'll see why they are getting a neg'.Terms & Conditions Apply0 -

why you having a go at me i was trying to help you! and point out that even if you sent the game back does NOT mean you'll get you money back.
I'd change your attitude cause if your emails where in the same tone as your post I'm not surprised about the sellers reaction.0 -

The item has to be sent back recorded and the tracking details entered onto paypal.
Of course the seller may not sign for the item in which case I'd just claim from RM.
As for my tone, all I'll say is if I want to be preached too I'll go to church but thanks for your heartfelt concern.Terms & Conditions Apply0 -
If I'm selling something I photograph the book and any extra bits, leads, software cd's etc as much as possible - mainly in case I've forgotten to include anything then at least buyers can see what is included.
In this case though, if I was the seller I would have replied apologising to try and keep things civil, to see if this could be resolved in some way, even though he hadn't said it was included.
Now it's been voted in your favour, I would probably just keep the game, with satisfaction he was in the wrong, and download the instructions - as I wouldn't trust the seller to refund the money!0
